Tony's mentality seems to have infected a few around here. Preston were basically Man City, so I Guess Wigan are Man Utd. But back to what should be reality. Preston were pretty shit, even the majority of their fans knew they were lucky to get a win at Ewood. Let's not mess around Wigan are also shit. They don't have the amazing Will Grigg any more (who incidentally costed £2-3 million less than that guy we bought) and they hardly score any goals. We should win by 2 goals. Even with our crap defence we could get a clean sheet here. 2-0 or 3-1? 2-0 or 3-1? That's the only doubt I have. A license to print money as the saying goes.

American Olympic silver medal winning cyclist Kelly Catlin hanged herself a few days ago - age 23. https://eu.usatoday.com/story/sports/olympics/2019/03/10/kelly-catlin-cyclist-olympics/3124363002/ I remember her as I've seen all Team GB's Olympic cycling races since 2008 - and of course it was Team GB that beat that particular American pursuit team into 2nd place in Rio in 2016. R.I.P.

You could certainly pick quotes from Kean, Coylio and Mowbray and do a Hitler or Trump? inspired Who Said What? quiz and you'd be struggling.

I'm just waiting for one about the 'wrong shade of blue' on the shirts. It pacifies the players too much. Takes the fight right out of them.

Perhaps League 1 isn't so bad after all.

Thanks England! Another easy crushing victory means I can watch Burnley get beat on Motd2. Win! Win!

So. When is Gareth Bale arriving again?

Come on now. We mustn't jump to conclusions. He might be mentally ill.

Manager or Players to blame?

There's really nothing like like seeing the date there in black and white to make it really hit home. One wonders if we'll be revisiting this thread again in 2020. -
Stewards doing a great job as usual. One scally, just one skinny scally. Heck! Bring back British Bulldogs. The way things are going it's doubtful anyone will be singing 'the poor man's Bradley Dack' at Grealish when we play Villa again.

I don't think it's going to happen but just for fun and interest I had a bit of a go at taking the very worst case scenario of us losing every single game and predicting all the other teams results (being a bit kind in some cases) and I still have us surving by a point. QPR 53 Wigan 46 Reading 44 Millwall 44 Rovers 44 ---------------- Rotherham 43 Bolton 42 Ipswich 27 Breathe........Give the kids a go. FFS!

The title thread makes me laugh these days. Tony Mowbray - The Manager What? As opposed to the one we've got? ?

I accidentally caught 1987 last night. ?

74 is a pretty good innings. Not least because he was pretty much a drug addict for most of that time. The money and fame certainly didn't help.

Notlob at home would be the next 'shoe-in'.

Yeah, but as I said a while back. Teams below us are playing each other so they can't all go on winning runs (as well as the fact they are playing decent teams going for promotion - such as Rotherham today). We won't need another point to stay up. We will however need to pick up points to stay in 17th. It's still a good day for us (obviously discounting our own result).
-
Pretty decent results for us today. With QPR failing to win (and Wigan losing) that season saving 17th place is still very much ours. Millwall lost. It's better than it was looking 2 hours ago. RESULTASTIC! COYB!

What's happened to Big Ben? Since his start against Reading he hasn't featured in the last 4 games. Why not? Has the Rovers set-up started to male him even worse than before? Baffling!

Especially a visit to the Normid superstore.

Notts County sinking like a stone after a false dawn against the top 2.

There's certainly some Theresa May-esque options.

I think kicking the ball out of play (at least a couple of times) when it was obvious there wasn't any head injury (it's the officials job to stop play anyway) just typified our 'on the beach attitude' that Mowbray instilled in the players in January.

Just think. We were winning 2-1 at Leeds at this stage. Believe!
