  1. Possibly a few points too far. Though it must be good to have a manager that still believes and their season should go into April at least
  2. Best keep that one off the highlights reel. £20mil+ is still on.
  3. There's certainly been 5 that were 100% his fault and several where he's been a factor. If I could be bothered I might even have a look through the highlights and tally them up. But I can't be bothered, it's too painful.
  4. I didn't think we would lose today. You've got to be a very poor side to lose 5 in a row. In context of the season you have to say it's a good away point at a Massive City club (the unofficial 2nd capital of the whole of England) and one that aids our exciting end of season fight for 17th spot.
  5. Phew! Mowbray stays with Coylio and doesn't enter 'that guy that rhymes with an English indie band from East Sussex' territory.
  6. Place your bets now please! Place your bets now please!
  7. Lol. Rovers serving up a Mowbray special.
  8. It's about time we ragged one.
  9. Lol. We don't need any strikers.
  10. That's about right. Having had a full season in the Championship under TM (adding the season he took us down's points onto this season's tally) that's about exactly where we end up.
  11. Big club are poor. Though one wonders if that first half was our good or bad one. This game is still there for the taking, especially if they try and keep the 1-0.
  12. Well, it's only 1-0. So we're still in it.
  13. The fact that I don't feel much after that goal is a testament to the attitude of our manager and where the season has gone. Give the under 23's a run out, or at least "unleash Rothwell" ?
  14. I expect us to steal a point here or even a raggy win. Needless to say a loss would bring Mowbray into more unwanted stats territory, and we would also see the reappearance of the unmentionable one being name-checked with regards to Blackburn Rovers. First time Rovers have lost 5 in a row since . . . . . . .was in charge. That should be an immediate sackable offence in itself.
  15. Strange to think Gayle was practically on the verge of criticism for 'scoring too slowly'. ? Even though it was a big target, England never really looked like they wouldn't chase the score down. It looks like they are setting these pitches up to be runfests.
  16. Hopefully we can do what they did to us on our patch - i.e. - play like a team that had given up and didn't want to be there and somehow taking a point. I know Coylio lost 4 in a row, but unsure if he lost 5 in a row. We are certainly in danger of entering that unwanted territory.
  17. Not so 'mouthwatering' after all.
  18. Oh-er! Should we be looking over our shoulder?
  19. There's nothing wrong with a bit of hoofball if you've got some pace ?
  20. Great news in our fight for 17th place. QPR lost at home. COYB ?
  21. So, less than a third of voters so far think Tony is up to task.
  22. If the plan is to try and get out of The Championship at some stage, then Tony isn't the man to do it. He's had 2 years here. Last season we got away with promotion simply because of the relatively poor standard of the 3rd tier - we didn't exactly do a Luton and a lot of our victories were actually closer games than they should have been and largely because of Shrewsbury's poor squad they went to pieces at the end enabling us to avoid a nervy play-off situation. This season we've been largely found out, after many teams underestimated us early doors allowing us to amass relegation avoiding points. The tag-line for this current era (hey let's have a poll) would probably be something like 'square pegs, round roles'. Too many players being played out of position (often half the team). Over complicated tactics etc. Rewarding players because of misplaced loyalty rather than for footballing reasons. This is the running theme. The deal-breaker for me is the negativity. Including downplaying our own team, bigging up other teams to the point where it's laughable (what was it...Bury's left back is Roberto Carlos and Preston are the New 2003-04 Invincibles??? etc). Then very recently i've read certain comments from players about aiming for the play-offs which have been totally contradicted by a manager who got a nose bleed and gave up on the season in January. From a footballing point of view he's not going to take us any further and he's not suddenly going to go on a football manager crash course and change during the summer. He's already long established. Then when you add in the bizarre transfer window tactics (no strengthening of obviously weak areas and blowing the entire transfer budget on a dud). It just further tips the scales. Obviously we don't have any football men at the club to help Tony out and we're run by football hating lunatics, so who knows what is really going on? I think we could well be 10 points worse off this time next season in a real battle.
  23. Loaded questions. The plot thickens. .
  24. This is the Boro thread, not justeat. ?
  25. Time to ditch the professional gambling and become a football agent ?
