  1. Fleck broke his leg in August and according to Wilder was still suffering pain from it just 3 weeks ago and added to the injury list. Furthermore the break was a recurrence of a break suffered just 12 months earlier. Looks like we signed another crock.
  2. The sycophants and happy clappers posing as reporters and pundits at the LT and Radio Lancs (not to mention Radio Rovers) won't reflect any of the anger among fans and reflected on this MB.
  3. That seems a very likely scenario. And will probably be repeated with the further transfer income to be received in the summer. Look forward to squad comprised entirely of free transfers, loans and more kids from the Academy next season.
  4. Moran is as weak as piss and will be devoured by a physical QPR midfield comprising Hayden, Colback and Field.
  5. And the £22m is reduced by a "loyalty" payment to the player plus agent's fees and 20% VAT so probably closer to £15m net.
  6. Have to hope that Huddersfield are even worse than Rovers although the two recent matches against them suggest otherwise.
  7. That's with Adam Wharton pulling the strings in midfield. Where is the creativity and ball retention with Garrett?
  8. Just getting him off the wage bill would be a triumph.
  9. Add Hyam to that list of summer sales as even if he signs a contract extension (and why would he?) that's just a device to increase the transfer fee.
  10. In the summer we can expect the sales of Carter, Dolan, Gallagher and probably Szmodics. The proceeds plus the Raya sell-on will simply cover next season's losses as Venkys have clearly stopped their funding.
  11. Out of 18 remaining games can only see 3 wins at most. Defeat by QPR will leave a required total points of at least 45 (a further 4 wins) which, with this decimated squad (particularly in midfield), looks a tall order.
  12. QPR are a much better team than their current position suggests. And they've strengthened significantly this month with a striker from Belgium (proven goalscorer there) and Hayden from Newcastle. Rovers squad is completely ill-equipped for the coming relegation battle.
  13. Midfield is terrible now without Travis and Wharton.. It comprises Tronstadt (ok), Garrett (nowhere near ) and Buckley (unfit). Although JRC can play there (effectively) its robbing Peter to pay Paul as there is no right back/wing back in the absence of Brittain for at lest the next month. And all is before any further injuries. Meanwhile... the team we face this weekend, QPR, have taken Isaac Hayden on loan from Newcastle. It's impossible not to see where all this is going....
  14. My guess would be that the first installment for Wharton pays the wages etc until the summer so none of it was available for incomings. Basically the Wharton money will enable Venkys to continue their lack of funding for a while longer. The gormless twats are just kicking the can down the road.
  15. Schumacher was his manager at Plymouth. He obviously thinks he can get a tune out of him.

  17. I would agree with this assessment of McGuire having seen his Youtube goal/"skills" video. It is distinctly underwhelming and I would think that a similar video of Gally's highlights would look far more impressive - and we know how generally ineffective he is. If he comes on loan it's a blessing and we all know Venkys won't make the transfer permanent in any event.
  18. Walstedt is good shot-stopper although parries too often. Man City rate shot-stopping as the 7th most important factor in assessing a keeper. He's not much good at anything else.
  19. He's been out injured for the last 3 months so absence from squad means nothing.
  20. Doesn't fit with the strategy of getting all the highest wages out of the club.
  21. More likely £2.6 m. Obviously £26m is a ridiculous figure that makes no sense for a business with a £15m turnover and a £20m wage bill.
  22. This summer is too late to get the profit into the 23/24 accounts. The last big sale was Armstrong which went into the 21/22 accounts. Big losses in 22/23 and this season 23/24 so next summer 2025 would be too late unless sold before the end of the accounting period - a factor that buyers would use to their advantage.
  23. The funds won't be reinvested in buying established players because their wages are too high. Only players willing to accept a wage just a bit higher than League 1 levels will be incoming. That's the reality.
  24. The other side of that view is that Pickering and Carter injuries are like sending them out on loan - and Hill's already gone. None of the players highlighted are defenders.
  25. Venkys are building a squad for League 1 and below. It will cut their losses so it's not as unlikely as it might seem.
