  1. That’s just it. I know exactly what we get from Evans. At least give him a chance . I can guarantee he won’t be worse . We need to move Evans on. He’s been here for ages, rarely scores, often injured, must be one of our top earners and at a time when we need all the freed up funds we can get and the plethora of players as you say we already have he needs to go . Davenport will not be any worse on a smaller wage , far more potential and resale value and will not be any worse on the pitch .
  2. Maybe it’s time for him to leave and for others to step up. He’s been a brilliant servant to the club and now , like everything in life, it’s his time to go. Especially if his wage gets a LB in
  3. Someone knock a compilation up and send it to forest and get our 7 million back before he turns into a pumpkin ?
  4. Agree with both of yours but would have davenport for evans
  5. I think it’s going to be the recently relegated and top end clubs of our division we are going to have to worry about pinching our players. No one as of yet shines Stand out premiership class yet at least
  6. I’m not Tony’s biggest fan but regardless of if he signed or not and I’m led to believe he didn’t , he has started him and got his just rewards. Can’t do anything but praise him for that
  7. I had a tenner on us so mercer if you could recommend a nice flavour of lambrini for the mrs that would be lovely ?
  8. Always stands out every time a see Preston play ( which is about three times a year ?) but always end the game by thinking that Johnson lad played well today
  9. Dolan probably had a shock being released By Preston and giving a chance by rovers on a few hundred quid a week. Contrast that with brereton who probably has sorted himself out for life . Just goes to show to much to soon often can be a players downfall
  10. If it’s for Bennett and we don’t win then he will deservedly get pelters unless nyambe has picked up a niggle. It can’t be for footballing reasons . If it’s for JRC then that’s an intresting choice, the right one I’m not sure but if he’s expecting to keep the ball and have the possession then might be a smart move as JRC has undoubtedly got a better final ball
  11. We’re going to have to agree to disagree. I don’t think he’s going to be a world beater just that out of Johnson Evans and Davenport he is the best option
  12. Is this in a rovers shirt or do you watch a lot of burton Albion ? for the very brief minutes he’s played he put a man of the match performance in and has done nothing of note wrong in the brief cameos he’s made
  13. Agreed. davenport reads the game really well and has got a tackle in him. Maybe not the tough tackle Bennett has but he won’t be sent off for being caught out of position, drag other players out of position and give away free kicks in dangerous areas to a team looking to sit back and win on set pieces . As far as experience goes when will he get some if it isn’t at home to Wycombe with no fans and three midfielders injured.
  14. You would like to think he now would be the perfect time to give him chance but we have all seen with chapman that travis injury means nothing when Tony doesn’t fancy a player . His style of play is like Michael carrick (obv not at his level or quality) . Reads the game well, recycles the ball, got a tackle in him and protect the back four I’ve watched him enough to know he is the best of the rest after travis and has the potential to improve his game, the team and his resale value. I know travis game would Improve if he played at the side of him as an anchor. I also know Evans is an international. He prioritises his country over club every year. He is an ageing crock who had been at the club far to long and has contributed so little and is only going to get worse . It’s time he was moved on and a fresh edge brought to the team.
  15. Struggling to understand writing Davenport off when we have Evans stealing a living for years constantly injured and getting older , The epitome of stagnation , Johnson who is in his 30s and couldn’t catch a bus without blowing out his arse an Then there is Davenport a young lad who has had an exceptional apprenticeship at Man City where he captained a very good young side, rave reviews at burton and done nothing wrong when played in our first 11 even man of the match on my opinion on his debut. people are write we do need to sign someone and move people out , but it certainly shouldn’t be davenport he should start along side travis and be the anchor to let travis express himself abit more and make use of his engine
  16. They also brought non down and got relegated ??
  17. I think all three are good clubs for him to go to as I doubt he’s going to break into the city team
  18. Everton , West Ham and Fulham “in” for tosin. Bit in paper (sorry if already mentioned )
