Williams is a left footed CB and more than capable of being third or fourth choice behind or in front of Wharton. He is a poor left back that can at least defend the basics where bell is and has been a consistent liability as a defender and often leaving the rest of the back line exposed as well as his inability to stop a cross he often cuts back and plays the ball backwards slowing down all momentum. The fact remains we are arguing over the worst of two evils. We need a CB and a LB to walk into the first eleven and hit the ground running

I have every faith Wharton can play his part this season and be a good addition to the match day squad. However we still need an experienced proper steady pro at the side of Lenihan and del as back up . Plus another keeper and a left back as an absolute urgency

I’d start Wharton tomorrow but play del at left back . As bad as he is he’s a million times the player bell is and I’m expecting to be under the cosh for quite a lot of the game. It has to be nyambe, Leninhan, Wharton and del for me

As the resident Luddite, I’ve never tried using this so tomorrow I’m hoping to watch the game on ifollow. Can I pay for one game or does it have to be a season ticket and can I watch it on a smart tv or does it have to be a phone/tablet

Neither like nor dislike it. But currently watching the Leicester game and it just doesn’t feel like a rovers shirt. I feel like I’m watching a la Liga match. The blue and white halves are famous and have tradition which is our identity , I’d just like our away shirts to have a similar feel with an artistic liscence. I’ve loved every red and black and yellow away shirt . This just doesn’t feel very rovers to me

This is probably my biggest bug bear with Tony . You should always try and bring better in and then drop players down the pecking order . It raises the standard of the team and the individuals competing for places

Yeah if we re invested the money on equally good players in key areas , reduced the debt improved season after season And made it into the play offs

Has this Mcbride lad even played first team football. Never heard of him but if Clubs were chasing him then why hasn’t he featured in the first team. I’ve never heard of him, or the cb from Liverpool . Surly to god he isn’t the signing we’ve all been waiting for all day.
