  1. If they hadn’t destroyed the club and it’s finances we would have a list of buyers longer than Epstein’s clientele list
  2. I think he had the ability to be but even without injuries I think his mentality would have also held him back. He just didn’t seem like he would be 100 percent committed to the professional lifestyle which is what it would have taken for him to ever reach those upper echelons
  3. Handing caps out like toffees these days. Pointless game, pointless exercise, nothing learned , fulfilling a fixtures . ?
  4. Youri djorkaeff Is a World Cup winner although steven nzonzi is aswell I believe
  5. Bench Henderson, ward prowse, rashford, James, Barnes, Mount , rice, maguire, maitland niles, pickford, TAA, mings
  6. Just seen the line up . Makes sense tbf Pope Gomez Coady. Keane trippier. Winks. Phillips. Sako Ings Lewin Grealish
  7. Can’t really comment , only seen him play once for atletico and he played ok but that seems like years ago , must of been a champions league game pre original lockdown. Not seen the rest of the line up so can only assume it’s because he’s an experienced old head amongst debutants and less experienced players
  8. Trippier made captain Grealish, ings, sako and Calvert Lewin start
  9. Thought I’d bump this anyone tuning in ?
  10. It’s as simple as this analogy for me. we married them via an arranged marriage. they kicked the shit out of us every night , abused, used and raped us until this imaginary line that has just cropped up in 2018. since then they have stopped the physical abuse and Instead ignore and neglect us but buy us some flowers on Valentine’s Day via moonpig (Valentines day being the transfer window )
  11. Friedels massive hands after that , Duffs dribbling. shearer . doesn’t need an attribute just a surname robbie savages hair
  12. I do love the tales of the older posters . Slightly envious I never got to see not just pre premiership football but the evolution of the game. I do wonder if I will look back on current times with the same passion, love I. E the Doncaster game or even if we got promoted this year with the same love and passion say Tyrone shoelaces talks about a more honest working class less sanitised and monotised game , when local pride and local players mingled. Maybe I will. I guess it’s one for the older posters to answer. A bad example because of the ticket scandal but the best I can think of is do you look back more fondly of the overall game and experience from a pride , love, passion point of view of the loss in the cup final to wolves in 61 (I think) including the run to the final as much as or with the same passion as the Hughes team that lost to Chelsea at old Trafford including the run up to the semi final . If that makes sense ?
  13. I don’t see what everyone sees in jrc that could boast of potential world class tags or even premiership potential. I think I’m time he could become a steady regular for us , I don’t see much else to suggest more. Not that he can’t become a premier league player. just i currently don’t see it even potentially
  14. Shut out ? That’s a clean sheet for folks back in lancashire
  15. Surly that was just about minutes and fitness . I don’t care if he played LB as long as he got some match fitness and game time ready for forest
  16. I think Gallagher would be best utilised in games like the Cardiff one. 60 minutes in hitting shot from long range wide , can’t break through a tight nit defence bang Sam on and start whipping balls onto his head and nick the one nil, getting causing havoc in the box. Away from home defending a lead . Bring him on to head balls away from corners and hold the ball up the way Graham expertly did. People will say that doesn’t match his skill set but that’s what brockhalls for. Get him day in day out Learning that role so we have options. After all Tony likes to make sure they learn the role it’s just he’s learning the wrong role. Putting him wide right or anywhere but central is a complete waste of time and money. That’s how i see it anyway and what I would be doing . we have seen that Armstrong can score the goals, we have Dolan, rothwell , this season up to now brereton and eventually Dack to play this wonderful football we have played and long may it continue but we also need a plan B when it’s one of those days that the defence can’t be breached and shots from range just arnt going in. Sam Gallagher could be the plan B we have desperately needed. The home games against Luton, charlton etc where a plan B would have made the difference. That’s my thoughts over to you Tony
  17. At the time of the deal nyambe was the only RB we had , along with Bennett’s role in the dressing room (not that this alone warrants an extension) and ability to cover a few positions to cover injury crisis’ and lesser cup games etc I wasn’t against the Bennett deal. Would equally not been arsed if he didn’t get one but equally not fussed he did.
  18. The first game that springs to mind is the Crewe game and it was kearton in goal. What an extraordinary afternoon that was. Live on sky aswell
  19. Just hope it’s not yo-yoin from top to bottom half of the table.
  20. Agree. Watkins is better in every aspect than arma
