  1. Spot on. That’s where this slow build talk falls short. I have no idea what he’s building. Don’t get me wrong we have some good players and exciting kids . Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t, often for long periods that costs us badly but even I have no idea what the best 11 was before we signed half a team last week. He needs to have a plan and sign players to make that plan happen and also develop a plan b incase it isn’t working . Maybe he has and I’m wrong but i can’t see what he’s trying to do other than amass as many players as he can within his budget and hope something clicks
  2. I would never begrudge him not being at the birth of his child or spending time with his new baby but I do think he should return By tomorrow Night and be ready for the game Wednesday
  3. Can’t see anything but a very sobering defeat. To much quality in the opposition side to keep quiet , to many injuries and unbedded players in our side to trouble them. Easy win for Watford. Every game from then on is when I put the spotlight back in Tony’s direction
  4. Luke Brennan has a few nice touches and showed great vision for that pass to Gallagher. I’ve calmed down now. It will get better ?
  5. Keeper was ok and nyambe played as well as anyone on that list. After that , well you saw it to
  6. Fuckin Johnson. That’s the player i remember. The one we usually get and new would return. Livid ?
  7. Yeah I’d take the point take the positives of another clean sheet and never looked like conceding and see what the new lads bring. Boring game but it won’t be the first or last of them down at Ewood the difference is I’m not trudging back up the hill in the rain after losing 1-0. Silver lining and all that
  8. I never want to see Evans in a blue and white shirt again. He isn’t that far off Jason Lowe . He’s always been shit
  9. The back five have look well drilled and assured. One positive to take out the game with the attacking players to still come back and Travis and rothwells drive from midfield we will be fine this season
  10. Chapman has been awful. What has happened to the vibrant exciting winger we all wanted back
  11. Where does Luke Brennan play and what kind of player is he ?
  12. I’d bring davenport in for Evans to and save chapman for the last 20
  13. I agree. If we’re going to kick kicking long balls and let’s face it we might aswell and completely bypass the non existent midfield then bring him on. The only way we are scoring is a set piece , penalty or whipping balls from wide to Gallagher. The forest back line is winning everything against Armstrong and Dolan . With the way the game has gone and the subs available I’d bring Sam on now for brereton and swap him with arma
  14. Not a great line up and nothing on the bench to make a difference either . Could be a tough day but it’s less tombola and more of that’s the best we could probably put out today. Still could get a win and hopefully a few new faces and a couple back for the next game. Staying positive regardless of the result today. COYB
  15. Haha me to tbf. what I like is that Johnson has been immense up to now and undroppable but I do think his form will drastically fall of a cliff at some point and before we would be lacking something because Evans when fit offers the same as Johnson on a bad day when he’s playing well. I like we have the option to do so many things when injuries and bad form occur. It should also keep performance levels high knowing that nobody’s place is safe and the back five should be settled and have an Develop an understanding. What can go wrong ?
  16. Not really paid much attention to derby but looking at that line up they seem to have gone from top six to bottom six in a transfer window. What’s happened there. Some poor players in that 11
  17. Couldn’t possibly pick one til we’ve seen the new lads play but I’m sure we will have all decided for the new year and then we can all get back to slagging Tony’s selection policy off. Bloody Mowbray ?
  18. Getting carried away after I’ve got a babysitter for the weekend, a bottle of JD and the best end to a transfer window I can remember but wouldn’t it be so rovers to get promoted the year we all can’t go. It would be bitter sweet. Obviously getting back to the prem I would be dancing round my living room but after the shit shows and horror performances and players who have darkened the door it would be hard to look back on a wonderful promotion season knowing we’ve spent years traipsing from Southend to Plymouth and the Lowe and akpan years only to miss Dolans trickery and Armstrong screamers and the new grounds of Brentford and Wycombe. I suppose what I’m saying in a long winded grandad rant is I would always think about being at Wycombe or Brentford or a good crowd at Ewood Or god forbid a Wembley win in the play off final and think what could of been not what was. How would others feel where we to go up ? Am I being negative ? would others feel equally disappointed in what would be a great success ?
