Haha me to tbf. what I like is that Johnson has been immense up to now and undroppable but I do think his form will drastically fall of a cliff at some point and before we would be lacking something because Evans when fit offers the same as Johnson on a bad day when he’s playing well. I like we have the option to do so many things when injuries and bad form occur. It should also keep performance levels high knowing that nobody’s place is safe and the back five should be settled and have an Develop an understanding. What can go wrong ?

Getting carried away after I’ve got a babysitter for the weekend, a bottle of JD and the best end to a transfer window I can remember but wouldn’t it be so rovers to get promoted the year we all can’t go. It would be bitter sweet. Obviously getting back to the prem I would be dancing round my living room but after the shit shows and horror performances and players who have darkened the door it would be hard to look back on a wonderful promotion season knowing we’ve spent years traipsing from Southend to Plymouth and the Lowe and akpan years only to miss Dolans trickery and Armstrong screamers and the new grounds of Brentford and Wycombe. I suppose what I’m saying in a long winded grandad rant is I would always think about being at Wycombe or Brentford or a good crowd at Ewood Or god forbid a Wembley win in the play off final and think what could of been not what was. How would others feel where we to go up ? Am I being negative ? would others feel equally disappointed in what would be a great success ?

Kaminski looks a good signing with a back up also on the books, if Douglas signs then anything after that is a bonus. I’d be delighted with just the left back sorting. Is trybull the new Harrison reed. Don’t know anything about him but if he’s that style of player and we can keep arma fit with Dack and Travis on the way back I can honestly say I can’t remember the last time I was this optimistic. I might even start being a Mowbray fanboy if he doesn’t start playing Ayala on the left wing ?

The problem is football as a sport is dead. Every club is self serving and will vote accordingly. The integrity of the sport as whole is dead . You only need to look at grass root level to see that. Self interest and greed from the top to the need for survival at the bottom . No one is looking at the bigger picture to make the game as beautiful, competitive and sustainable as possible

I think the full backs could make up for the lack of pace I don’t think lack of ability can be countered. Ideally Ayala plays with del or Lenihan that’s obvious. This is the case of a worst of two evils and until both are tried properly we will never truly know but out the two Wharton deserves his chance more. He has never let us down when he played in cup games against lower opposition and as far as I’m aware has done really well on loan. Contrast that with magloire who had a good debut and struggled at Sheffield Wednesday and bombed at Rochdale (not sure how much of that was down to injury as he had been out a while) then it has to be scott

He can tackle he just isn’t a great header. Wharton is very good aerially and better in the tackle he just isn’t as quick . That is literally the only asset he is better than Wharton in

I prefer the term no nonsense CBs. Wharton is a far better defender than magloire. If it wasn’t for his speed no one would be suggesting him anymore than carter. Wharton is a better defender with far more experience so it’s Scott all day long for me

If Lenihan and Williams are out I’d play Wharton but i just know Tony will move nyambe central and play Bennett or JRC (preferably if he is to move nyambe central ) RB
