  1. I don't want to seem like a doom merchant but I'll believe the positive change when I see it. History tells us that the rug can be pulled at any moment. At the moment it is hearsay. Granted it is nice to see the Developers get their marching orders (well, Waggott is due apparently) but the job is only half done. You need to replace them with better. I will only start believing change is happening when the right people are in right job. Until then I'm still half expecting a serious let down.
  2. You have to be winding me up Nuno had a great season in the Premier League - surely his stock is higher than us? He had a bad do at the cursed Tottenham but you’d think there’s a top division club lined up for him somewhere? Im hoping you are right, but I’d be shocked
  3. Do they need that? These are some seriously rich people. There’s no way they add more to their material wealth through the betting markets to make it worth the millions they put into the Club I am at a loss at the lack of ambition. Did they feel embarrassed when in the Prem? The spotlight is on them more for sure. Or is it just a case of club malaise, left to just function as a portfolio filler that every now and then they show a bit of interest to. They don’t even come to the ground. But they could do, if they only cared a little
  4. We are also still searching for a sporting director. It’s like we are going to be back to square one again. Over 10 years since they came and lessons have not been learnt. They never will. Until we are rid of them this cycle will continue I hope we get a manager with some ambition but something tells me we are in for a dolloper. I think Mowbray made a comment about wanting to work for a club that has the ambition and board room motivation to make the step up to a Premier League club - I took that at the time like a veiled criticism of our owners’ true ambitions. I can find the interview now though. I really do get the impression there’s absolutely no ambition to become a PL club. And I really don’t get why
  5. He definitely isn’t I spent a lot of time defending him after his Coyle season but sometimes it just works for you. He’s been bordering on pathetic ever since
  6. I think we can get a goal here A hard fought 1-0 win
  7. He’s playing Dolan wing back 🤣 Forget about it
  8. When you have Gallagher and JRC down the same side it is useless No depth in this side. It’s a shame for the rest of them. Let down by some bad players
  9. I think Costello has forgotten how to play football to be honest Struggling to remember a worse performance. Not a pass gone to the intended man yet
  10. JRC is really starting to get on my last nerve to be honest First touch leads to a tackle which leads to a yellow card Not good enough - surely that Brown is better
  11. I don’t care but I don’t like him I won’t send him abuse, boo him or talk crap about him constantly but I don’t like him. He was ready to ditch us for our rivals He will never be remembered as fondly as the rest of this squad in my mind, not even close
  12. He wanted to talk to Bournemouth, our rivals, midway through the season. He will never be at the level of the other players of the squad for me. Should the unthinkable happen and we go up he will always taint the squad photo.
  13. But not for Rovers. And Zeefuik has had two games - let’s not forget before that he was dropped by Hertha Berlin and playing for Groningen. Hedges played for Barnsley too. Armstrong didn’t perform for them or Bolton before he came to us. He might turn out to be a nothing player but let’s not write him off already. Different team, different results. It’s the usual way with football.
  14. Neither was Zeefuik until you saw him play …. Twice. Now he’s fantastic.
  15. I think we’ve had a decent window but would have liked another attacker. Shame we missed out on Dembele. Not losing any players is a bonus. Losing Markanday so early is a big loss, you can tell he was the one we wanted and we got him early like everyone wants. People keep forgetting him. Unfortunately in life accidents happen and we couldn’t have foreseen a hamstring injury so early on - although I’m sure some of you will have something to blame Mowbray for there Giles could be a good addition. Khadra has a good delivery and it’s brought us some goals this season so if Giles can contribute with his left it is two good set piece takers. When we are so resolute at the back being able to capitalise on corners / free kicks are huge. We need to stay fit now. 4 big games coming up in Baggies, Sheff Utd, QPR and Fulham. After that we have, on paper, an easier run in with only Bournemouth the worry. I believe.
  16. Which is a damn sight more than you get I would trust what Sharpe has to say over what you have to speculate
  17. Who cares about Bournemouth? Just means they have more players to offload for cheap when they miss out. Trying to buy their way out of a poor managerial appointment. Parker is a bad manager and he still has to get a tune out of them They started with Lerma, Christie, Solanke, Billings, Pearson and Anthony last match. Who gets dropped for who they have signed? Best thing they did was bring in Phillips to replace the old Cahill but I think our lads are as good as theirs. We need to stay injury free though.
  18. Of course you wouldn’t It could be just as plausible that Bournemouth were successful in their pursuit of Cantwell. A much better player than Rothwell. In doing so they decided the 3m outlay for a bloke they can get for free in 6 months wasn’t worth it. Several reputable sources including Sharpe all said Rothwell wanted to go to Bournemouth. It won’t be forgotten. He hasn’t once denied it, which you would expect he would if it was the case. You can believe whatever you want but let’s not forget what has actually been said. A post of him smiling at training does not take away from that fact.
  19. What a monumental cock Joe is The only possible reason Tony Mowbray had for releasing that information is that it was true. Lips are generally quite tight sealed regarding transfers at the moment so it was a surprise to see the openness of this. Imo it is quite clear Rothwell made a stink about leaving, and that lead everyone to believe it was inevitable. Fair play for the owners standing by their guns but you are probably right in that disconnect. Poor showing all round and I bet Rovers feel daft today but I bet Joe feels worse.
  20. I find it as good enough reason It is the brand name. It’s cheap and it’s a Red Devil. Doesn’t suit us and it comes across as a cheap brand because of the products it sells. A perfect combination of crap.
  21. It is frustrating because Bournemouth are a nothing club. They got up last time breaking the rules and stomaching the fine. Then after a few years barely treading water, lacking any ambition except survival, they are back down. No promotion for them this season will see them have to sell their players and it won’t be long before they are back where they belong. Are we really supposed to buy the rumour his Mrs is the root cause of it? I don’t. He has a responsibility to the lads around him - you know, the ones like Trav who have bust their arse off for years covering him whilst Joe is allowed to play the fast and loose game that he does. If I was in his team I’d be messaging him now, demanding answers and would have no second thoughts of admonishing him on social media. This team is full of lads who have come through our academy and might be the crop of youngsters to put us back where we belong. Here is this bloke who couldn’t give two shits wanting to jump ship to our direct rivals. They had better be angry. He should take a look at Lenihan and Nyambe. Yes their contracts up and they are waiting to see if they get the Prem call but they have put 150% into everything. Darragh was a rock against Boro and Luton. Playing on after a bust nose at Boro and throwing his body everywhere he could be Luton. If they go in the summer the fans will love them for what they gave us, and we would Rothwell too. As it happens it appears his “PREFERRED choice” is to go and help out the team we are battling. Fuck him. If I was Mowbray I’d put him with the kids, get a replacement in on loan and make him watch whilst we have the season of our lives. This could better serve us for motivation - Rothwell doesn’t think this squad can make the Prem otherwise why else would he want to go before the summer? He’s a coward
  22. All of those stupid posts about the club trying to “stoke anger” and turn them against Joe. The silly pie in the sky guesstimations of why this is the clubs fault and not him. Whatever anybody says I do not and will never believe that Mowbray wants to sell Rothwell to Bournemouth. He’s obviously got no choice. The man has downed tools and decided to go somewhere for extra ££. He’s a disgrace. He’s let his team mates down and shown his true colours.
  23. If Rothwell even entertains Bournemouth before the season is out he can do one Good riddance. I don’t care how good you are - you do not let your team mates down like that
  24. Is the Swift link real or just a recommendation? Signed him once on FM and he became a quality little player for us. Would like to see him in a Rovers shirt I won’t lie!!
