January Transfer window 2022
Dreams of 1995 replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Problem lies in that we have a £5m striker who is fit but you can’t trust The next 2 games will be tough. We need some goals from somewhere. I’d be tempted to play Khadra and Butterworth because Gallagher is clearly not the answer -
v Hull City (a) - 19/1/22

I’d make two changes Brown on for JRC - can’t be worst Makanday on for the useless Gallagher -

Gallagher spoils this team. Fact. When he is on the pitch we play awful. -

May as well put Dolan on to do that. At least he has a finished product on occasion. He’ll close down far better and offer a lot more than Gally imo. Gallagher is a bit of a lump it merchant if you ask me. Doesn’t play the type of football that’s made us successful. But if he plays here’s to hoping he proves me wrong !! -

You’d have Gallagher starting Chad? Come on now, stop being silly eh -
My issue isn’t with the product it is selling but let’s be honest the brand name itself is just….horrible “Totally Wicked” sounds awful to be honest. Just screams cheap and crap I don’t think advertising vaping to young people is a good thing though but to be honest you only need to go into a corner shop nowadays and they are front and centre stage of the counter. I actually think those vapes are pretty good, and they make social smoking that bit more enjoyable because you aren’t left with the terrible taste a cigarette leaves and your clothes don’t smell of it

Was there not something mentioned about recoverite being involved in the physio / recovery side of the club? I wonder if the rumours around the “skeleton staff” at Ewood means they weren’t being involved how they would like to have been, or weren’t receiving the data they should have been getting or something It’s strange for a brand to pull out without going bust or struggling financially. Recoverite must have good reason…

Rothwell is a terrific player if you ask me. Just goes missing far too often for a top level central midfielder. You only need to see the lumps a Pogba gets for doing the same and he’s world class It will be a shame to lose him but like any player at our level he is replaceable -
Professional? A company ran by Waggot? You’ve got to be joking man There has to be some sort of contractual clause about non-payment too. We should be able to sue the backside off Recoverite and have enough money to use a charity sponsor or something It can’t be that desperate we need some shoddy two-bit company to poorly patch over the sponsorship logo. Surely to Christ we can recover loss and expense of shirts bought and not sold from Recoverite and surely we aren’t that desperate that we need to immediately get a new sponsor in Id much rather see the Community Trust patched over than that crap 💩🤢

Decisions like that are made because Waggot is first and foremost a used car salesman Embarrassed to have that on my shirt. I was going to buy the yellow one to make up the three but I certainly won’t with “Totally Wiked” plastered on it. Cheap, tacky and not within the brand I want Rovers to be They always find a way to annoy you

PLAYER WATCH v Cardiff City (A)
Dreams of 1995 replied to tonyoz's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Goes to show how poor we were up top really. That back 3 😍 -
Difficult to choose between any of the back 3 and Kaminski I am probably going to go with Kaminski due to the save and that late catch. But it could have easily been Lenihan for me
-
That NG - be cheap to have him on your shirt - made a meal of the tackle. You saw him peaking at the ref and once the red came out he popped straight back up. Id be embarrassed if I did that, especially on camera. He was a little drama Queen all game so you can imagine my joy when he was the one to mess their play up in the last 5 mins. Shit player, enjoy the relegation scrap King Ryan Nyambe

Love shit house performances like that. We were crap in anything other than getting in the way of the ball but who cares? 1-0 is all that matters. Joint top, another win and clean sheet, and we go again at Hull Love this squad of players. Van Hecke, Lenihan and Wharton are Spartans. Fuck me I wouldn’t want to play against them. Silver lining is we will see this Dutch lad quicker than we may have thought. Let’s hope he’s class like the rest of the players. Could win the World Cup this team, conceding none all the way there. Kaminski is a GOLIATH!!

Turnover does not equal profit and therein lies the issue when people make wild assumptions like fact when they are working on dodgy information -

To be honest I was more interested in what information isn’t in the public domain Way I see it it is revenue less player/staff spending. All of that’s in the companies house accounts. I’m fairly certain that over this 3 year period we were damn close to breaking the rules, but again I would confer to the account minded posters on it -

If not every piece of information required to calculate FFP calculations is in the public domain then how do you reckon we aren't on the border of regulations? If I am not mistaken our accounts have shown losses year on year. Over a 3 year period we may not lose what is required of FFP to place restrictions but I think from the undertakings of some accounting bods who post on here we weren't far off breaking the rules save for the training ground / Arma sale. -
The only players at Burnley that I’d want is Pope and maybe McNeil The rest aren’t that good. Just organised with Dyche. If he ever does go that squad is bottom of the table fodder Cornet doesn’t look a bad player but how long he is there is anyone’s guess. Can’t see him being there when they are in the Championship next year

Championship 21/22

Luckily for us Bournemouth appointed Parker who imo isn’t that great a manager. He’s making hard work of it with Bournemouth with a good squad of players. -
Good player but Van Hecke is better

Reckon you’re bang on here If we get up we’ll likely sign him. If not we’ll send him back and rely on the lad from Ireland -
The absolute worst openers though. Gotta agree with Jim 😬 on this one. Even Crawley is uninspiring. I’m a fan of the white ball game but one of a minority in preferring the red ball. It just seems to be at the bottom of England’s priorities. In doing so we have a bunch of white ball players. The openers don’t soften the ball up enough for the rest. You want players like Root at 4 or Stokes after him coming in when the ball is softened. He will have more of a chance. I think last time we played the Aussies we opened with Roy. Unstoppable in the white ball game, bloody awful with a red ball. Burns looks genuinely uncomfortable when batting which is odd for an opener. Hameed will give his wicket away every game no matter if he’s looking in good nick. I think unfortunately the openers are spoiling the squad. A great middle order, decent bowlers but not a spinner in sight but just bang average openers.
