We can wear our home kits against Stoke, Rotherham and Boro.
-
I quite like it but I was yearning for a red and black striped kit I won’t lie. I thought this years kit had a resemblance of that 95 kit and genuinely thought we might see a similar away kit. Would have definitely bought a red and black collared away top this year. As it happens I’ll probably buy the home shirt, but may pass on this depending on pricing. Not a bad effort though, and not as terrible as being made out by some...but fashion taste is subjective after all.

The amount of times in business you are told: "an agreement has to be reached by x date" only for the can to be kicked along the road and an agreement is finally made days or weeks later. Such is life. -

I quite like the tid bits man. If they don't come off ah well, but in an era in which Rovers gets little publicity sources that come on here are more or less what we have left in terms of 'paper talk'. They aren't trying to sell a product a la Nixon. The people that don't like them can just scroll past and/or ignore it. -

I’d take Oviedo. Where’s he at now? I’m sure I saw him on tele not long back in a European game but he was playin winger not wing back. Left footed, been at Everton and attack minded - sounds a good fit for a Mowbray full back. -

I will always say that I'll never criticise a player for wanting to play at a higher level. I'm only making the point that, going by reports, Kipre isn't really wanted there and is a second resort. As a player I wouldn't want that, unless of course there's another benefit to it. Which there is - money. I'm not painting him out to be a bad guy but the fact remains that Baggies beat us at both situations - they can offer more money, and they can offer a higher division. With all that in mind it's no doubt he's going to them, although I would argue that he'd play more football here and likely get a move up as a regular starter, to a team that wants him, rather than playing second fiddle and a second option like currently. -

Life doesn't always work out the way you want. If we have to move onto Lindsay then so be it. He performed well at Barnsley. Stoke is pretty toxic right now, or was, so his performances there don't worry me really. He will have a point to prove if he does come to Ewood. -
The State of Ewood Park!
Dreams of 1995 replied to A Northern Horde...'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
This is something you should be petitioning the local council for if you believe so strongly. You wouldn't ask Ewood Bikes to start weeding the canal bridge right by them would you? The problem with the weeds / litter on the council adopted roads are the councils problem. Clearly, looking after your area does stop on the boundaries of peoples' properties round there, otherwise they wouldn't have let it get in such a state. I remember when I used to walk to school down that road in primary school and people would be outside sweeping their part of the alleyway to keep it clean. Times have changed. It is the same around all alleys around that area now, they are just dumps. -

With the prem comes money though. I bet they would. I don't know whether Kipre has been offered regular first team football, but the rumour mill would have us believe Baggies have him on the hook and are waiting for alternatives. That would make you think they believe there's better out there, and if he does sign it is simply a case of them not finding anyone else. It all screams of being unwanted. I can only speak from what little we hear on the outside though -

Cedric Kipre is obviously after the move to a Prem club. Why he is letting them mess him about like that is beyond me. Money talks I guess. I'm going to bet that Baggies have doubled the wages he'd be on here. It is a shame because he'd be a guaranteed starter here, probably the main man in defence, and the move to a Prem club would probably happen if he continued the form he shown at Wigan. This is modern football though, and he is prepared to be messed about whilst they look for a 'better' alternative on the chance he can double his wage and if he has to sit on the bench to do that then fine. -

If we sign Kipre can we all make a gentlemen's agreement that Alan Nixon is not to be spoken about on this board? He's a tubby little shitehawk who works for a rag. I think Steve Keans name was once censored on here if I remember correctly, can we censor Nixon's name to "Tubby Fud" please Cheers -

Stop pissing on our chips RovingRover, we have plenty of other posters who do that. Although it is a bit more sincere coming from you, and so it feels a bit more like a betrayal Fuck Leeds and the ground they walk on -
Looks like Tomlinson is a bit of a tool, which goes along with what was being said about him during his time here. He looks absolutely fucked on that photo of him playing for Accy. Got bags under his eyes like he's been putting in the hours, but more likely been burning the candle at both ends judging by his reputation. Crying shame really, never nice to see a boy with talent mess themselves about. The Mansfield fans claim he spat in a coppers face which, in the current climate, may even mean he will do time. I swear someone got sent down for spitting at a bus driver not long back?

I don't understand how you have come to that conclusion. Three journalists with actual connection to the club (Bayes, Sharpe and Myers) have all come out and said bringing in a defender is not linked with letting one go. But here you are, with no connection to the club and no direct contact with Tony, speculating the opposite. Of course your post is just conjecture, but nevertheless labelling it as quite alarming when it isn't based on any real tangible fact is a bit of a pie in the sky doom and gloom prediction that isn't really necessary. -

I can see where the clubs are coming from. The home team needs to capitalise on away support for cash flow, so by charging them a reduced rate to watch online it means all parties are happy. It's difficult to see another way around it, otherwise you'll have to accept a loss of 23 home games @ average 1500 fans @ average 20 quid a pop. That could mean a loss between 650,000 - 1,000,000 for the club. In fact, we'd be hit harder by that as we benefit from large away attendances for certain teams. -

I remember it being 1 signing after 100 pages last summer. We have broken the old record. Well done chaps, or should I say Chaddy, Mani, roversfan99, JoeH and Richard Oakley. You've been fantastic sports. -

Not gonna lie I straight away thought of him. I thought we'd managed to bag a quality centre half with first team apps for City then! I should have known. Davenport: Superb free kick (starts at 30 secs) -

I ain't trynna argue he's a better keeper but just that stats can be misleading. Belgians play 29 games per year, Championship is 46, which would indicate that Walton faced over twice as many shots as Kaminski. That's a lot more margin for error, to say there's only 6% in it. -

I bet it is easier being in goal for Gent than it is Rovers though. How many shots did they face per game? I'd imagine Walton got more at him, ergo more room for error -

Good. After years of seeing keepers flap at the ball I want to see a bloke take men out and come out of it on his feet with the ball in hand. Hopefully the correct ball though, we don't have many centre halves as it is. Anyone remember Freidel annihilating Egioghu (or however ya spell it)
