  1. George Harrison - Dark Horse
  2. I must admit mate I've been doing a deep dive into the Cockney Rebel stuff since the sad news broke and my God I can hear all sorts in there that has clearly influenced more modern artists! Its been a bit of a revelation tbh.
  3. Neil Young and Crazy Horse - Don't Cry No Tears Around Me
  4. The Chi Lites - A Letter To Myself
  5. I can see Coventry getting to the final.
  6. Two sad deaths in the music industry over the past week with Steve Harley and Karl Wallinger both passing away. Both of them are much greater than just the couple of songs they are known for. The early Cockney Rebel stuff is amazing and certainly influenced the likes of Peter Doherty, Madness and Blur, among others. Karl Wallinger had a huge hand in the early Waterboys music and then went on to form World Party. They had a massive hit with Is It Like Today, but his best known song is She’s The One, originally recorded by World Party but covered by Robbie Williams. He moaned about it at the time but I imagine he made a few bob out of it. RIP to both of them. Edit: And a mention in dispatches to Eric Carmen, lead singer of The Raspberries who also died recently. He wrote All By Myself, which is well known from the Bridget Jones movie.
  7. Now that is an absolute classic! The Who - Squeeze Box

  19. Take a bow. I spilt my brew when I read this ha ha
  20. Yes you are clutching at straws my friend.
  21. Bunch of softarses. But we already knew that. Any team that literally NEVER overturns a one goal deficit (apart from in a dead rubber at Millwall when the home side got nervous) aren’t going to have the stomach for a relegation dogfight. 2/1 at the bookies seems like a licence to print money, to quote one prominent BRFCS poster!
  22. Maybe so but a blind man on a galloping horse could see that the back five needed changing at half time today, let alone a professional football coach.
