It's probably just me, but I've never understood the fap fest for vinyl. It could be down to my dislike of sentimental reverence in general and my lack of fine coordination with fiddly things. There may be some sort of different quality to the sound but my hearing to pretty crap so it would be lost on me.

News From Other Leagues

He also owns the Coventry Building Society Arena, which would be a bit odd. The money Coventry City pay to rent the stadium could end up buying a player for Reading. -
True. I expect them to eventually fall down the table, but have a good season. I seem to remember Reading under Ince were flying early on in the season and then tanked.

The sports washing for the Saudis is going very well. Newcastle are turning heads and getting neutrals interested in seeing a game if they're on TV, Tyson Fury is fighting there this weekend after Joshua had done and the Saudi League has bought half of the European based players. Good way to distract from their proxy wars, abuses of migrant workers and women from all parts of the world, insidious promotion of extremist Islam across the world and so on. Still, they have loads of oil, and buy our weapons so it's all cool. -

That would be awful, but at least honest. Rugby Union is trying to do the same thing, but a few clubs went bust. -

Ok.......what? This sounds like a way of making social media presence and attendance of the ground turn into points in the Super League. That would be the most unhinged, stupid and unworkable way to run a sport I've seen. IMG had better check the quality of their cocaine supply as it must be mixed with some wild hallucinogens. Both codes of rugby have been going out of their way to screw the game up in England. -

There was an Iranian film about female football fans trying to see a vital qualifier. I forget the title. -
Wayne Rooney's Birmingham city (tm) haven't gotten off to a good start. I wonder who his opposite number is? 😉

He made mistakes but he always came across like he really cared, and tried to build the club. -
I'm in my early 40s and have never put a record on. It was tapes and CDs when I started buying music.

I'd scrap the county game too. It's produced too much mediocrity, and is usually played in front of a few blazers. Perhaps a city based team that really tries to engage with local schools instead of relying on a few private schools is the way forward. But the Hundred being binned is a start.

Delia Smith did it better.

Southgate has all those fancy players, but is too cautious and picks a few favourite players regardless of form and whether they actually play.

Jim Radcliffe can save himself a load of money and buy us instead of a minority of Man Utd. We don't expect Champions League football every season, or have an over paid team under performing, great academy...... With INEOS money we could be like Brighton or Brentford. It makes sense in some ways. Mind you if the Rao's did sell, we'd end up with some crypto bro and that Bassini in charge.

I hope you sent him for a long weight and tartan paint after that.

Pears can have a month or so of being good, then a month of being awful, then a period of mediocrity. Not 1st team quality. I wish we could sign Sigurdsson full time too, but it won't happen. -

Tom Jones-Boy From Nowhere -
With hindsight his form after the world cup was pretty crap but we were not to know that until the end of season. Either way, if he left for let's say £10m none of that would be used for a replacement.

I agree, I've disliked them since the Worthington Cup win. Empty vessels make the most noise. -

We're effed. We'll probably end up around 15th, with JDT and several players leaving in summer, and then relegated next season. Whoever the current Danny Guthrie, Chris and Wes Browns are, will be the spine of our team next season. I hope Venkys lose all their money and assets and have to sell up, and live on the streets in Pune. I didn't go to the match, so the result is not my fault. -

Funny how Ten Haag looked promising at one point, and is now failing like every manager since Ferguson. It's going to be a very long time before they challenge for the title. -
I'm not big on golf, so what happened with one of the caddies?

I could go to this game, but I'm not sure I should. I've never seen us beat Coventry, and that includes the infamous 5-0 loss at Highfield Road, and the game with the 96th minute equaliser when Mowbray was manager. -

Read an article saying Kevin Muscat is the favourite. Apparently doing well in the J League. JDT was 28/1.
