  1. “The Blackburn Rovers defender was substituted in the second half and he was replaced by Scott Wharton. Carter is unable to play against Norwich City on Sunday after picking up a fifth yellow card in the Championship against Swansea City, triggering a one-match ban. That gives the 24-year-old 10 days to recover from any niggle, with Preston North End travelling to Ewood Park on Friday, November 10. Tomasson is hopeful he will be available for that fixture.” from the LT
  2. Norwich really were shite. What are they doing with all the parachute money? Good 3 points, well seen out after the red. Hope JRC isn’t out long
  3. Really poor place for Leo to push that ball into. Similar to Chelsea. Batting the ball to the penalty spot not a good technique
  4. I thought so too until I saw the replays. Scott wins the ball first
  5. Whlstedt lucky he was run into…he’d already let the ball slip though his hands.
  6. If he didn’t get the ball it was certainly a red…replay showed he won the ball first.
  7. Carter is suspended due to accumulated yellow cards. Unless you’re counting Barnes
  8. Well that’s about the only thing that could get Norwich back in it. Poor give away and on reply it seemed he did get the ball.
  9. Think Pickering weakness (speed) is Stearlings best asset. That’s never a good match up for him. part of me thinks JDT knew it was a long shot. Chelsea a much bettter side than the 2 premier clubs we beat last year and with no European competition they can put more emphasis on the cup. Add to that our small squad and busy fixtures since the international break, it made sense to rest as many legs as we could.
  10. The difference in quality was clear. Especially in the areas that mean the most. Inside their box we really struggled to look dangerous often playing back. In ours they always seems a threat. There were moments where we did well but never really threatened. A chance with Leonard an hand ball that should have been a pk, but we didn’t really trouble them. All in all a good showing and one the lads can take pride in as they weren’t run off the pitch by a side that cost 20x ours.
  11. He’s a wanker but probably spot on
  12. Individually they’re far superior but we could have had 2 penalties and gifted them their second.
  13. Agree on Leonard. His movement and strength for a 19 year old #9 is well beyond his years. The fist chance should have been finished, the header he won over a center defender, was a difficult goal to score. He won it, got good pace on it but hit it right a the keeper…you see that from stokers ever weekend that are worth millions of pounds. Only the elite routinely put those away.
  14. Siggy was hooked at half. Didn’t have it today. Either he didn’t care or he’s still carrying and injury. Looked nothing like the player that scored 3 from his first 4 appearances
  15. Although recent results have been better we haven’t really played well in a month. To me that’s more troubling than todays result. We’ve been much more sloppy in our possession and not creating nearly as many chances as we were before. still think something is off with Siggy. Far cry for the player he was when he recovered from the groin.
  16. And that after Scott played a good game by his standards
  17. About 10 different players needed to get a result from that.
  18. In the end quite comfortable for Swans. A Wharton has to be on the pitch more. Anything of substance we created has come from him.
  19. Leonard is going to be one hell of a player. Should have done better there but he’s going to score a lot of goals at this level.
  20. 65 min to get a shot on target
  21. Wharton does not give me faith.
  22. Hill is struggling. Maybe jrc to right back and Wharton on?
  23. Markanday and Moran on. Callum and Siggy off. 2nd game Siggy has been hooked at half. Something seems off there since international break.
