In fact, other than the colours and inclusion of red there is nothing 94/95 about it. I love it but think they’ve made a bit of a cock up claiming it’s 94/95 inspired -

I love it, but it’s a 92-94 inspired kit not 94/95. It’s a virtually carbon copy of 92-94 barring the collar being solid blue -
Indirect free kicks are given for a back pass which is arguably a more ‘serious’ handball so there would be logic in applying an indirect free kick to an accidental handball. The only issue being that ‘accidental’ would become so subjective to the point it would tumble on for weeks on SSN and Talkshite

I think calling it 3-4-3 is being kind to Southgate. It was more 5-4-1 or 5-2-2-1 if we're putting a positive spin on it, there were 7 defensive players and 3 forwards. -

Released tomorrow on sale Friday, that's been the case the last couple of years too I'm sure. -
I think the overly inflated fee for Grayy, etc (you can chuck Elliot Anderson and others in with this) is to make paper transfers at the end of the PSR window to allow clubs to sign other players. Thats not to say that we didn't undersell Adam but I think we're in a position where untested academy players or middle of the road academy products will go for hugely inflated fees this summer. The whole thing is broken, clubs selling off their homegrown products for nonsense fees to comply with a made up rule.

2024/25 Season Tickets

I’ve not had one for a couple of years due to work/kids. My son has an ST with our neighbours and was toying with getting one, I’ll miss more than I’ll be able to attend but I thought worth it on balance for first refusal on away games. However now early bird gone it’s defo not worth it and I’ll just buy match by match -
Adam is far too progressive/risky for Southgate, he'd start for Spain, not a chance he gets a kick for England. Mainoo although slightly more progressive is another conservative midfielder who because of the complete lack of progressive midfielders is seen as someone who plays forward, he's not.

He tends to do commentary on the games at a level he played though rather than internationals -

My problem with women is the same as say a league 2 player commentating. They’ve not played the game at a comparable level and thus their experience doesn’t transfer -

I hope the home has the inside of the button collar with red piping and a thing red piping on the arms a la 92-94 shirt. I personally prefer us in the thick black and red stripe over the pinstripe but generally anything black and red ticks my vision of what a rovers away kit should look like. I do think they've missed a trick in not going for the gold/yellow and black 3rd kit, readers of a certain vintage will remember they only made about 500 of them originally and it was an ace kit, imagine if we saw a return of the the goalkeepers kit in that mad kaleidoscope shirt that all the Asics clubs had. I noticed Hummel re-did their Kaleidoscope shirt version for Denmark this time -

I'm sure someone (who I'm sure is ITK on commercial type stuff) said months ago that this years had a 94/95 theme and would be a return to red and black. -

I think Bellinghams problem is due to his age and relative inexperience he's trying to do everyones job a la Steven Gerrard circa 2005, the game is very different now and even the 'poor' teams are fairly well drilled tactically. As a result of this he's not where he should be most the time and is trying to force passes and openings that aren't there. He gave the ball away so much last night, he's a fantastic footballer but he's showing his immaturity in this tournament. Not having a Kroos, Modric, Valverde in there with him is showing in my opinion. As much as the British media wants Rice to be a world class CDM/CM, he isn't, and it's being exposed here with a negative effect on Bellingham. It was made even worse by having the wind chaser Gallagher in there last night. -

Foden was one of England's better performers last night, the amount of times he was in great positions in the pocket screaming for the ball only for Rice to shit the bed and pass backwards was beyond a joke. We played a back 4 with single pivot against a low block, that's madness. Rice sat in his own half popping the ball around backwards and sidewards under no pressure thinking he's prime Busquets, turn it in. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, thats where England are at, no depth, no width just mindless sideways and backward passing in the middle of the pitch. Kane needs to be hooked and told if he wants to be a 10 then there are plenty of spaces on the bench, causes so many problems with the press with him so deep. He doesn't press so midfielders jump out of the line leaving huge gaps, Slovenia played through England a few times last night and they are ultimately a bit shit. Imagine this shower against one of the form teams like Spain, Austria, Germany, it would be a cricket score. The game was crying out for Wharton last night, the one man in the team who can pick a pass in congested areas high up the pitch, yet he's nowhere to be seen. Sums Southgate up, his only concern is not losing, zero ambition to win. -

oops, I meant 2-7-1, it was incredible. It was very JDT suicideball but they had it drilled to a T, the big bald lump of a centre half charging into midfield to receive from the GK was my highlight. Sabitzer as a free roaming 8 was incredible, showed how it was United who were broken and not Ragnick -

After watching Austria on Friday I think England would get torn apart by them, their tactical set-up was incredible and the fluidity in which they rotated position and built up in near 2-7-2 formation was mega. Makes Southgates plodding 4-2-3-1 and 5-3-2 look laughable -

Harry seems to be of the opinion that he's a superior player to Shearer, whereas I think anyone with half a brain or a knowledge of football outside of the last 5 years would politely tell him he's a long way from the truth. -

Moyes raised a good point last night re the state of grassroots football in terms of qualified coaches and available all weather facilities in Scotland. It's a similar problem in this country although the weather isn't as bad here and certainly not further south. -

If that is the shirt it might be the first one I buy since the navy Umbro away with the blue and white sash across, due to it being a tenner. I’m a big fan of the training kit, looks lovely -
