  1. I can't see Nyambe or Chapman being involved all season if the favourites continue to play.
  2. Chaddy managers, just like players have their levels. Mowbray is a lower championship manager at his best (not much to prove otherwise). Hughton is championship winning manager, and lower premiership at his best. Think about that, and then think which one is more likely to achieve promotion.
  3. Youre trying to prove a point but all youre doing is showing stats that argue against your own point. Look at the important facts shooting accuracy and crossing accuracy well below the opposition and all in all pitiful.
  4. The new signings johnson and downing have improved our mentality at seeing out games, however we still seriously lack creativity. I cant see much improving really in that respect unless chapman and rothwell get extended runs in the team. Holtby could make a difference but then you arent going to get rothwell, chapman, holtby and dack all starting. We just arent scoring enough goals, 66% possession yesterday but yet luton still manage 3 more shots on target. We cant carry on with armstrong on the wing it simply doesnt work. With gallagher playing we need the ball out wide, whipping in early crosses, but their far too laboured and everytime we get into final 3rd we play it backwards. The team is just disjointed every game, its like we are confused as to how we want or should play.
  5. First home game ive attended this season, we look worse than last season. Johnson is useless with the ball. We play far too narrow, we migt as well just have 4 cetre mids playing. Gallagher is pretty useless, as my grandad said, who is pretty level headed "that big lad up front and that bennett look like non-league players" Shooting accuracy was woeful. Defending inept, i thought the defending had improved going off this board, evidently not. Then to sum it all up he brings on donkey dom and puts him at right mid, absolutley pissed off with seeing shite like that. Holtby was good, only good thing really.
  6. Same old shit, entirley predictable. Its getting boring.
  7. I would agree with that. Was arguing with mates other day, they were saying "what a great win" after the Reading game, however I said that it wasn't a great win, as I think we should be beating teams like that and like Millwall. We need to get away from that mentality of being happy with winning such games, we are more than capable of beating most teams in the league and should be pushing for top 6.
  8. Spot on, ive said on here before that personally, the darwen end being shut means i wont go, i like a sing a long, which is now non-exsistent, thats why i go away games and not at home. Im not one of them who has to go to home games no matter what, and there are plenty like that. I am not saying id get a season ticket, if DE was open, becuase i wouldnt, due to work, but id go when i could. As you say, it isnt an excuse, i just dont want to go.
  9. Yep, and the champions league is looking to be made into a 48 team tournament, with six groups of 8, with each playing each other twice, so a Premier League side would play 14 games in the group stage, they want a European Super League.
  10. Support both the same. Rovers edge it, but massively support england. Mind you i follow england cricket and rugby union more.
  11. Go for it. I was a season ticket holder until they came in. Never since. Happy to answer questions.
  12. I was astounded by how many fans in the away end Saturday, disagreed with me and some mates, in respect of how bad Armstrong and Bennett are, and how ineffective Gallagher is on the wing. I really do not know what people are watching, it's like they are watching completely different players at times, and well if you criticise the team that's it, smarmy comments all game "ha thought Armstrong was shite" when he passed a ball, or "Gallagher shouldn't have been taken off" when subbed and "Bennett is our most passionate player and a leader, he is first on the team sheet" well he must be brilliant then.
  13. Buckley was atrocious hope we arent looking to him, hes awful, plays like a schoolboy. Awful touch.
  14. Really hope youre joking. Bennett was pathetic as usual, as was armstrong. Arm in particular is one lazy bastard, second goal his fault. Bennett just awful all game.
  15. Not read any comments, but by feckin feck, that was atrocious. Bennett again, awful, armstrong dont even get me started feckin rubbish. Graham is the best man up front, but knob head wont play him. The fans today were not happy with Mr play my favs. Lost all confidence in him today. Feck off tony, cant be assed with ya. Rothwell only player who FULLY came over after game, PISS POOR.
  16. Sales must be crap for this one, as Rovers seemingly not willing to reply to lots of fans asking how sales have gone, their usual tactics when not many have sold.
  17. Anyone any idea how ticket sales for this have gone?
  18. Im simply not happy with him because hes signed 3 strikers for big money and none of them play as strikers and none of them are even competent wingers, its just absolutley crazy. Added to this none of his key men, bar dack, are his own signings. Id say now, Graham, Dack, travis, williams, lenihan and bennett (because hes made him captain) are his main men. Johnson you could argue, but his passing is poor at times. When i say main men, i mean can be relied upon, are consistent in their CORRECT positions and he will probably play if available and fully fit. Bennett not always 2 out of those 3 but hes captain.
  19. Correct 3-2 after being 3 up at half time. Season after 2-0, i was there both games, the second game you could tell both sides were going down, even though we won.
  20. Best performance ive seen under mowbray that. Game management and intent, different from what ive ever seen, attack and attack is our best quality. However defence is so much better, willams as most of us knew, is so much better at CB. Downinf has been terrific this season, hes such a good player.
  21. Not surpirsed, it was the equivalant of a pre season friendly, it should have beem free.
  22. Needed win. However i struggle to accept that our manager has signed Nutrall, Samuel, Antonson, Brereton and Gallagher and they all struggle/struggled to hit a barn door with 50 balls between them. Graham, the 34 year old Coyle signing is still number 1. Then we also have, what seems to be our new number 2 centre half, williams, another coyle signing. Mowbrays centre half signings, downing? Thats it The two real areas weve needed to improve and he never has. Centre mid too, okay travis, but that was by default he got in. Johnson good battler, not a good footballer, but let him have that. Harsh after a win, but ffs, some poor signings.
  23. THERE`S ONLY ONE JACK WALKER‘I have never written a poem before, I don`t see any point in rhymeIt never appeals to us working class, it`s just a waste of time.Well now it`s a bit different, I need to tell you how I feelAnd in some small way pay tribute to the Blackburn man of steel. It`s vital not to miss the point, footballs not just a bit of fun,It`s pride and passion, skill and strength all rolled into one. It`s not about Man Utd, Chelsea or some foreign fancy Dan,Its Blackburn, Preston, Burnley, that`s where it all began.Where what you see is what you get, but don`t show how you feelBut I`m making my exception for the Blackburn Man of Steel.I really need to thank him for the pride he gave us backJust for a while we were the best, Thanks to Uncle Jack!Few people have the vision to make a dream come trueThe beauty of Jack Walker`s was – We got an invite tooSome saw him as a rich old man who bought a winning teamBut for me they miss the point, he gave us all our dream!!I think its maybe true to say it could not last foreverBut then again I`m sure, its better once than never! And even if those winning ways never do come backThey can`t take away our memories, Thanks to Uncle Jack!!Hendry, Sutton, Batty, Shearer – the names run off the tongueBut ‘THERE`S ONLY ONE JACK WALKER` is still the Rovers songSo forget the players` agents and smart Armani SuitsRaise a glass to Uncle Jack, A man who knew his roots’
