If anyone thought mulgrew would be anything more than mediocre they were sadly mistaken. Said in pre season he wasnt good enough, said his body wouldnt handle it and hed be caught out game after game. Not sure why people even rated him as a defender.

Was nice to see lenihan give raya a bollocking a few times, i douted his leadership and overall centre half ability, but our improvement since his return has been undoubted. Rothwell doing what we all know he can, real potential for him next season. As kevin gallagher said we are 6 or so players short of a promotion push, massive summer ahead. Hopefully bolton win their next game and then we relegate them on bank holiday monday.

We all know that Evans, Smallwood, Bennett, Mulgrew, Williams, Bell, Raya and Conway arent good enough in this division within their respective positions. They are all well below what is required in this league. We also all know that theyll all be here next season, thats worrying isnt it? Yes it is, very. Then there are playerd like gladwin, samuel and nutttall at the club, of whom i have a horrible feeling, tony will welcome back, worrying right? Yes very. Then there are big money signings (arma at a potential 3.5mil and ben at a potential 7.5mil) who we know are both extremely inconsistent and not really that great right? Yes, very. So can we trust the manager to spend money? No Will we still have all those shit players here next season? Yes Will we waste money in the summer? If and I know it's an IF, but if we have a similar budget to last summer, transfers that were worth a potential £11 million, (brereton 7mil, Armstrong 3.5mil and Rothwell 500k) and use the loan market effectively, and added to that the supposed decent budget that was remaining and sale of players. Then there is no reason at all that we cannot bring in some quality and improve the first team in at least 4 or 5 positions, anything on top of that would be a bonus. However that would mean Mowbray probably having to get every transfer spot on, his record tells us he won't do that.
