If we went to a game and didn't know who the manager was, then I can get your point, as some of the stuff being served up is the same as under those two at times. However Tony is a better manager than both, more honest and more professional.

Have to agree. My mate said other month, why don't you come down today, cheap tickets, I just said, I cant watch a team that consists of Richie Smallwood, and won't bother watching any games that he plays in. Sounds pathetic, I know, but i just can't stand watching it. Bennett getting that way, he's not a defender, he's a winger, but he can't cross a ball, so literally does nothing bar constantly giving the ball away. I get the point about supporting a team, but when it's getting onto nearly 8 years of shite, I just can't be bothered wasting money on it anymore. Additionally If i do attend and make my feelings heard, you get shot down by the rest of the stadium and abuse thrown at you for not supporting the team, which is ironic, as them same supporters don't support the team in terms of creating an atmosphere. Which is the second reason I've stopped going, it's like a library down there, I used to love darwen end and a good sing along all game, but now, nothing. Again I know people will totally disagree with probably all that I've put, but it's just how I feel, I've fallen out of love with it. But if you'd have put sensible pricing on season tickets and put them on right after promotion I'd probably have got one, like many others I'd have thought, then I'd have been back into the routine of going.

Leutwiler Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Bell Reed Bennett Armstrong Dack R.Costello Graham We've no proper wingers at the club bar chapman who probably wont play this season, so get a lad out of the academy in the starting 11. I would drop Mulgrew if there was someone who could replace him, but there isnt. Think we need two grafters in the DM role, due to the poor defence.
-
Weak as piss, common theme this season. The manager has stuck with players who we all knew would not be good enough at this level and now it's costing us big time. Most of all he's brought in no leaders, I mean come on m, Mulgrew as captain? That's laughable hes no leadership in him whatsoever, the only player within the whole squad who has a bit of it is Bennett, but he's not good enough as a player, that's affecting him this season, meaning any leadership responsibility have taken a back seat. There's nobody else in the team. It's depressing to watch this lot. The manager seems the same though, so what can you expect.

Good to hear, Damo. Stanley have been doing that for a while now, in regards to matches at half time, you see all the teams in the side stand (the new one now) all in their kits, you can tell how excited they all are, and it really must encourage them to keep attending matches. Youth fan engagement something that is sadly lacking at Ewood Park these days.
-
Have you been Stanley? The parking is a nightmare!
-
why are you on here? If all is great at Preston, go on the Preston forums and wax lyrics to each other, about how great your club is, we aren't interested.
-
We may not want to lose dack, but we also don't want to keep him, let him start playing poorly, and then decrease his value. He seems the type of character who's head could be easily swayed. Sell him whilst his value is up, but only if it's reinvested.
-
If you have two strong centre halves and a proper defensive midfielder, then one weaker full back, isn't much on an issue. We haven't got a proper defensive midfielder, Travis has done well but he's by no means a david batty, and Smallwood isn't good enough at this level. I think £15mil would be enough to land those two, and why would they come? Well their both at clubs going nowhere fast, and we are a bigger club than those two, simple, and if Tony is spinning them the promotion line and he's still got the owners backing, why not. Probably wouldn't spending anything like that but I did say if.
-
Probably sell about 5500 or so then
-
If there's a decent budget, for example something similar to summer, circa £10.5 mil, and the additional £4m we were going to spend on the midfielder. Then spend it on two centre halves and a proper defensive midfielder. Then get a striker in on loan. Cash in on dack for circa £15mil and spend it on benhrama from Brentford and freeman from qpr.

Another fair comment, I probably wouldn't go if it was free now. Reason being, I stopped going after being a ST holder, and eventually started to do other stuff on a Saturday. I now think twice about spending £30 plus beers and other expenses for a lower half championship football match. That's exactly why the club need to do a massive offer on season tickets to get people back, they'll go most games if they have one and then the chances are a lot will return.
-
Of course, his distribution contributes to around 15% of the oppositions possession, inevitabley leading to goals, im guessing at those stats but they must be close, and that inevitably does lead to opposition to scoring goals.
-
Correct, I'm not a ST holder, and won't be bothering. Won't be paying £24 to sit in the riverside, so would have to be another stand at nearly £30, so no thank you. Newt to play for, playing crap football, with players who look like their ready for the summer, no thanks. Will spend my £30 on a night out. No live football isn't always for me Meadows.
-
Weak as piss, the manager and the team, just like Eddie Jones and his team getting licked off the taffs, shit day all around.
-
Think your focusing on the obvious errors, there a lot more of his game that causes goals conceded. Distribution, being the main one.
-
If the ground isn't so much of a percentage full, the home side can choose not to show it, that's why West Brom game wasn't on red button on bank holiday .That's what I read in the EFL guidelines. I think that's only for Saturday and bank holiday though.
-
No, we are going for another midfielder at centre back, smallwood or evans in contention.
-
I've said before, and some may not agree, but I choose not go now. As I always sat in the darwen end, loved the atmosphere. There is no atmosphere anywhere else in the ground, and the atmosphere is part of the enjoyment for me and a few others. If you try and sing in any other stand you get looked at like you're either a thug or your pissed. I would say it's probably the wors ground in the top 2 divisions for atmosphere now. Away support is tremendous.
-
Mulgrew and Rodwell poor as usual. But what can you expect from two midfielders playing at centre back.
-
Roy Cropper is too quick for our CB's.
-
Defo correct pal, their own Twitter confirmed it today around 2pm. They may sell a few on the day, but with it being on telly, I doubt that many.
-
We need a whole new defence for me, and not just that, we need a proper defensive midfielder, people may think that's Reed, but it's not, because Tony plays him on the wing for some bizarre reason. So a new DM essential, a new CB, a new left back and a new right back not to replace nyambe but to challenge him, we have no other right back at the club and I'm fed up of "he can play there" type of players, just buy someone who can play in that position. Mulgrew not a great CB, struggles at time with the pace and his own physical ability, maybe put him at central mid if he has to play. Lenihan potential but looks immature at the moment, downing will be gone. Rodwell isn't a CB, and neither is Williams. Bell isn't good enough at LB and neither is Williams. also a new goalkeeping coach who can reach raya how to catch a ball and how to distribute the ball.
-
I see big club Boro are back to their usual selves, home crowds dropping each week. And they've only sold 900 tickets for Sunday here at ewood. Was only other season they brought 6000 on a Tuesday night, cause they knew they were going up, and had around 23k home fans. They were convinced they were massive and a bigger club than us (laughable). All clubs are same, fickle fans. Leeds are same all of sudden 28k this season or maybe more, but past few years newt like that, and upper tiers shut etc.

We passed the ball around our own half. That was it. The only option we ever had, was if Armstrong was running about like a mad man. We had no wingers, well we never do, we had no creative midfielders and no number 10. Baffles me mate it really does.
