Criminal if Buckley goes out on loan, I’ve seen enough tonight to say that he’s probably the most naturally talented player on our books. He’s still got a lot to learn and is a way off being a bonafide starter, but he’s got more than enough already to play a big role this season.

He was dropped as soon as we secured survival, which spoke volumes. Mowbray scapegoated him to try and hide the fact that he’s incapable of organising a defence. The worst thing about the scapegoating was that he was too cowardly to call out our more established players (Mulgrew), even though they were undoubtedly more to blame than Raya.

Carson is the worst player we have been linked with to replace Raya, not sure why some appear to be happy.

And he’s objectively a downgrade on Raya.

You’re buying proven players in that age group, who are at their peak - it costs money.

There isn’t a better keeper in the Championship than Raya. They all make mistakes, the difference being Raya is 23 and will only get better. He was playing behind an absolutely diabolical defence last season, he was bound to make mistakes simply because he was in the constantly in the firing line.
