  1. Shite first half, shite last 15, poor overall. Walk Mowbray, you’re not up to it.
  2. It’s not like Leutwiler is a kid that needs game time, he’s in his 30s and is never going to improve. Strange decision from Mowbray.
  3. As we’ve said countless times, our opinion on Mowbray has been formed over 2 and a half years. We want him to walk because we don’t believe he’s the man to take us forward, it’s that simple really.
  4. Don’t know why some think we’re a charity.
  5. Buckley doesn’t play in central midfield if Johnson or Trav get injured, it’s Evans or Smallwood every day of the week.
  6. Physio merchant and kid? It’s Evans or Smallwood, don’t kid yourself.
  7. You think the teams we’re ‘competing’ with to get in the top 6 will have an Evans standard player to come in, if one of their midfielders get injured? Nope.
  8. Let’s not pretend that we have more options in midfield/defence than we do in attack. Evans has proven in his 5/6 years here that he’s an absolute waste of space, and only string a few decent performances together when he’s looking to get a new contract. It’s normal practice to have 4 competent centre halves, we have 3 as things stand.
  9. It’s Smallwood or Evans if Trav or Johnson get injured. Tosin is a 21 year old kid from City, who (by most accounts) had a pretty poor season last year. Even if he’s decent, 2 injuries in the centre of defence and we’re up shit creek.
  10. I’d be shocked if he breaks up the Lenihan-Williams partnership. Think he’ll just bring in Bell.
  11. Thing is with Downing is that due to his no n-existent resale value, he’s only a good signing if we go up. If we don’t go up, we’ve spunked 15/20k a week on a player who’s given us no return on investment. We’re frighteningly thin in certain areas (central midfield, central defence and left fullback), a injury in one of those positions and we’ll struggle. Also, it’ll be really hard to have a successful season if Bennett is at right back for the whole of it, he’s a liability - Nyambe must come into the side until Jan, then I’d be looking for a new one. If we can stay injury free and shore up the right hand side, chances are that we’ll have a decent season.
  12. Great win and second half performance. Still an awful lot to improve on, which I think is a positive in a weird way. We’ve got the makings of a decent side, it just needs to be put together in the right way. I don’t think that Mowbray is the man if I’m being honest, but he’s bought himself a few more games to have a go after the past 2 results.
  13. Christ. Can someone please remind Tony what Sheffield Utd did in their second season after coming up from League 1? Sooner this guy goes, the better.
  14. Graham was our fittest player last season, nonsense that he can’t play 3 in a week.
  15. Has there ever been an u23 side at any Category A academy where most of players didn’t play for the u18s at one point? I wouldn’t have thought so. It’s not exactly a brilliant reason for a boring, unambitious, appointment, such as this one.
  16. I know exactly how that *proverb* works. Do you know what a metaphor means? Not sure you do. And it turns out that you actually agree that he failed, weird argument to start.
  17. Read this Bigdog, & be careful when you say that someone doesn’t know what they’re talking about, people in glass houses and all that. He’s now managing League 1 Doncaster, strange how that’s the best offer he got after doing such a sterling job with WBA, isn’t it? He’s a failure.
  18. Ignoring the extremely small sample size, all of those managers, bar Lampard, were failures. He’s bound to have a better record against managers that failed at their respective clubs.
  19. Saturday’s game was a classic example of a battle between two poor sides, which could have gone either way. There was no ‘nous’ on show, from either manager.
  20. That would be best for all parties.
  21. Fingers crossed he’s a gonner if/when we lose.
  22. He’s very poor, from what I’ve seen.
  23. Has he put in a decent cross or set piece so far? I can’t remember one.
  24. You’re not wrong but I don’t think he’s looked any better than Conway, and Conway certainly wouldn’t be playing.
  25. Armstrong (on the right) or Chapman? If I was a fullback, I’d rather play against Armstrong than Downing.
