As I understand football contracts the vast majority of 1 year options include a pay rise written into it when it is triggered. What other benefit would there be for a player to accept a contract with an option for the club? My view is that this is the reason we haven't triggered it in the past as why would you give an underperforming player a pay rise....?

Ok, if we trigger this (if it exists) there will be a massive pay rise built into the final 18 months of his contract ...the money will just go into his pocket during the next 18 months and Dack will want a pay rise et al......and we won't have a player who wants to play for us. If you actually look at the stats across football it's shocking how many turn possession over from their own throws....its about 70+%...starts with the kids and the basics.
