  1. I don't get the hype of the royal family but the weekend has surely lifted the spirits of a fair few flagshaggers all over the country. Next bonus bank holiday when liz snuffs it - which I don't think will be long.
  2. This is the formation I wanted to see. Only just switched it on, how is it going? Is Mount playing on the left of a front three? That feels like a bit of shoehorning
  3. Mata, pogba and lingard on a free..... errrrr my highly confidential inside source say its practically a done deal.
  4. Very easy game until it gets to Tony or Gonorrhoea and then we have a decision to make.
  5. I don't mind a new manager taking us on a journey. My issue with Mowbrays journey was we had to turn round about 5 times and start again and the bus kept breaking down on account of the wheels being square and the driver falling asleep at the wheel.
  6. The final is rarely the best game of the CL
  7. If its a deflection he's offside if he's played it he's onside. Needlessly complicated.
  8. I'm guessing that "who played the ball" wasn't a clear and obvious error so they went with the onfield decision.
  9. I think we need to go 3 at the back with Rice and Bellingham in front of the back 3. Then we can play with wing backs - TAA and James are devastating going forwards so it wouldn't be an overly defensive switch imo.
  10. I'm with you on that one completely. It's a fine balance between picking your favourite 11 england players regardless of club form and completely changing the squad each time it's announced to pick which ever player is having a good month. I think Gareth generally does this quite well. The back 5 is fairly stable and he goes with his tried and tested where as the forward positions where you can afford a bit more rotation, he tends to hand out caps like confetti.
  11. This! I appreciate this so much. The other one is all these 6 yard tap ins they get - used to be just called "a poachers goal" now its peps magic. But you're right it will be distance directional passing to the guy with vertical dominance where as under the likes of big Sam it's called "lump it up to the lanky prick"
  12. If Liverpool win the quadruple, utd fans would still boast that they've never won the treble
  13. She's not a scouser though thank god! Just a Liverpool fan. But she's not the main reason I prefer Liverpool over city.
  14. Far more likeable team and coach than city. Funny though 10 years ago I was sat with my house mates cheering for city to stop united winning the league.
  15. Very early for villa to be winning though! Would love city to end the season with nothing.
  16. I'd say the most surprising thing about this story is that he's 17. What they been putting in his breakfast?
  17. It's set to be a cracker of a final day. For me there's a feeling that Liverpool could do it. City had a stumble against West ham when they could have put it out of reach and Liverpool win the FA Cup, mentally there's a swing in momentum. Add in the Gerrard and countinho at villa doing Liverpool a favour, the script it written.
  18. Yeah been fortunate to get easy teams like Germany in the knockouts. Gareth was lucky he didn't get drawn against the absolute titans of Iceland like Roy did
  19. Not Jake Daniels but on the same theme. Gueye (ironically given his name) refused to play for PSG because there shirts had pride colour's on their numbers. Comments on the article about it show just how far football fans / society has to come. I haven't seen anything negative towards Daniels (although no doubt there will be) but it just highlights there is the undercurrent there. Wonder how gueye would react if his team mates refused to wear an anti racism message on their shirts?
  20. Hopefully the reaction is positive and it encourages others to come out
  21. My uncle said the same - "Ukraine could come out and shit on stage and still win"
  22. One I read was along the lines of "I know it's a joke mate but you're implying you had respect for the taliban in the first place"
