  1. Mowbray is contracted till end of June, what worries me about the venkys is that they might think that they don't need a new manager in place until then.
  2. So what if all the talk in summer was about relegation. By Jan we were second, expectations change. Having teams make up 19 points is unacceptable no matter where you are in the league or the expectations you have.
  3. 10, 11? points clear of 7th at Xmas and we finish 6 points adrift even with half our competition doing their best to miss out. Vintage mowbray performance. Good riddance
  4. Woodgate? Is that some kind of ploy to make the fans ask for mowbray to stay? Has waggot leaked that so that giving Tony a surprise new contract isn't the worst thing we hear this week?
  5. The reffing I will agree was odd. He seemed to give equally bizzare decisions to both sides though I felt. Injury time in extra time was a joke though, how it was only 3 minutes I don't know! And he blew 10 seconds early.
  6. The analogy is skewed. We've got a dim flickering light bulb, just about does the job but gives you a headache. We can replace it but only with one from a box that has been chucked into the backalley from the second floor window of the local hardware store. Be damned if I'm going into Wilkos to buy one! Also the light bulb has to be willing to fly out to India atleast once a year and have it's plans to light the room thoroughly scrutinised which not all good light bulbs are willing to do.... I think the metaphor has run out of stream. For clarity I think we should have got rid ages ago and I welcome a fresh face but it's a bit of a leap into the unknown. Which I guess is no different to other clubs but we do like to scrape the barrell with our appointments.
  7. My view on mowbrays reign is that the club is in a better place now than when he found it. He's not a bad manager just very limited and its time to move on. He took us as far as he could and doesn't have what it takes to get us out of this division. As I say not a bad manager but not a good one, just OK. We can do better however we can do a lot lot worse we only need to cast our minds back to kean, the shit that came after him and the stage between bowyer and mowbray. The list of potential candidates puts this front and centre. Whilst we could find the right guy and we push on, we could also land another Owen coyle. Its time for Tony to move on no doubt but we might be back on the manager merry go round again. Here's hoping we're not here in 2 years begging for mowbray back.
  8. Robbie Fowler at 33/1. What a couple that would he's managed teams such as Brisbane Roar and East Bengal!!!
  9. I'm with you there. I found peps Barcelona a bit boring in some games. The ball was largely passed around midfield for 5-10mins before an electric minute where the ball ends up in the back of the net. Rinse and repeat. Much prefer Liverpools style. I also don't like how every team now tries to play out from the back because pep does it. What's wrong with 2 banks of 4 and the goalkeeper clearing a ball into row z like the good old days.
  10. Utd were as bad as Liverpool were good. Some of the passing from Liverpool was sexual but it was like they were on the training ground passing round the training manikins.
  11. They won't win the quadruple but is this the latest in a season that people have been talking about the quadruple? Usually talk of it starts after FA 3rd round and is dead in the water by Feb
  12. It's phenomenal to watch these two teams, both excellent in their different ways
  13. This is a good watch if you have 3-4 mins. Ironically on Facebook. https://fb.watch/cf7TlV3_ZR/
  14. Let me tell you about the birds and the bees....
  15. Cracking group for England at the world cup. USA, Iran and then one of Scotland Wales or Ukraine
  16. Me and a mate went for a pint after a run the other day, when the lad behind the bar read out the total for the round, my mate commented "blimey dom, we've ran all the way to london"
  17. What a pointless friendly for England given the players not in the squad. Playing 3-5-2 presumably as a way to get Trent in the side but not sure what we're going to find out by playing our 5th(?) choice RB
  18. Left footed winger played on the left wing, crosses to 6ft 3 centre forward played down the middle who heads it in. This stuff is revolutionary
