  1. I don't think so. We've had the club labelled as rotten to the core from owners to CEO to the manager who gave jobs to all his mates, it's a tall order for anyone to come in and change everything that's wrong at the club immediately. Maybe also cos I work in public sector and nothing changes within the first 6 months of someone senior starting I just assume its the same everywhere else 🤣 So I appreciate he's not set the world on fire just yet and tbh it's just gut feeling that he's honest / genuine and will get the job done eventually. I know 'give it time' seems to be a dirty phrase on here but my gut feeling is that if we give him time he will have a positive impact on the club
  2. Reading this thread - the players are shit, the manager is shit, the board are shit and the owners are shit - yet we're in play-off contention. Not dismissing the issues at the club but the "sack the lot of them" line is a bit over the top. I remain optimistic about GB, it didn't work out this time and he has to put it right for next time. We've all acknowledged there's a lot wrong at the club and to try and change that with the likes of waggot and the venkys around must be like trying to turn an oil tanker with a rowing boat. With all the issues around scouting, getting the owners to sign off on transfers, wage structures etc getting LOB to the stage it was in a short space of time would have been the stuff of fiction this time last year. The forms should have been the easy part of the process the GB didn't need to tinker with so I can forgive him for following the process we always followed and having a degree of faith in the legal / clerical staff being competent. The buck does stop with Broughton though and in hindsight he should have made sure the processes in place were water tight, should he leave the the club though? Not for me, I'm optimistic he can turn things around for us. As much as we want him to, he can't transform the club overnight
  3. Dropping the case and proving his innocence are not necessarily the same thing. We've all heard the recordings and seen the photos. The boys an animal who should be nowhere near the football pitch and shouldn't be put in a position where he can become a role model for kids. All the twitter folk saying the charges have been dropped and he should be allowed to play football again should ask themselves of they'd be happy to let him date their daughter. I sure as he'll wouldn't.
  4. We're lodging an appeal on the 7th Feb Any idea on what grounds? You'd think if it was a straight forward cock up we'd hold our hands up and walk away after we'd chanced it.
  5. This thread is about to get busy....
  6. I'm the same. Was 2 when we won the league so for me the Mark Hughes squad was the best era for me as a Rovers fan
  7. Sorry if I've missed it but is it today or tomorrow that the efl consider our case. Nixon said Friday but sharpe said today
  8. Prick 🤣🤣🤣 but I'd do the exact same to my mates if the tables were turned
  9. Nothing on the forest forum to suggest it hasn't gone through (nothing to suggest it has either)
  10. Ancelotti got them to 8th didn't he? Its a low finish for a manager of his quality but if he underachieved he underachieverd a damn sight better than frank
  11. Nunez - when it clicks will be fantastic. Even though he's not putting chances away, he's causing havoc with defences, a touch more composure and he'll be up at the top end of the goal scoring charts
  12. Excellent defensive header by Gallagher from Mortons cross
  13. Thermostatic valve. I don't think it's jammed, the pin (sorry guessing at the lingo) isn't stuck down and seems identical to the radiators that work. The heating was off when I bled it and I just got cold water out. The whole radiator is stone cold from the very bottom.
  14. I think so but will have another check round - no doubt I missed one
  15. More advice needed for the guy who drives spreadsheets for a living. Got a radiator in my house that isn't working (and as far as I know has never worked in the three years since I've been in). 1. I've bled it 2. As far as I can tell the valves on both sides are open 3. There's decent pressure on the boiler - the room is on the third floor so I thought pressure might be an issue but the other two on that floor are fine. Is there any thing else I should be trying before I have to get a man in to look at it *shudder*
  16. Yeah cos mowbray never down played expectations when he was here
  17. I want to see Messi crying his little gimp eyes out by 5pm!
  18. Bet no one will mention that the goal came from Messi dicking about
  19. Similar logic - you can't say Messi is better than me.
  20. Linekar and Ferdinand were two of the worst offenders and they do champions league coverage
  21. I too find the fangirling coverage of Messi to be cringeworthy. Clearly a superstar of a player capable of things no other player is but the coverage is over the top to the point that I also want France to win it. Things that have wound me up 1. Striker scored a goal, it was a great first touch and a decent finish with the outside of the boot. The first thing the commentator does is talk about Messi and the assist. Fair enough talk about the assist but to not even mention the goalscorer is disrespectful 2. Tries something that doesn't quite work. E.g. he dribbled past 2 players and then got tackled "joy to watch" 3. Does something that even I could pull off "is there anyone else like him" - yes literally everyone.
  22. The manager debate I'm genuinely torn on. Southgate has transformed England, we've gone from a team grateful for making the quarter finals to a team expected to win tournaments. He's also had three tournaments which I feel is enough for an international manager. Do we let him have the euros? The players seem to like him but also he doesn't seem to get that extra few % out of our attacking talent
