  1. Has anyone else ever dreamt of winning £200m on the euro millions, buying Rovers and personally escorting Waggot to the door with his belongings and P45?
  2. Note that it was done on a whiteboard so they didn't have to waste a sheet of paper.
  3. 1st February 22:59 - I hear they're about to sanction a war chest that can only be spent this window
  4. Like I've said before if we were treading water with an outside hope of promotion then having the venkys paying that bills is the lesser of two evils. They're stripping us of anything and everything and it's depressing. You take the ups and downs of being a fan but when you can no longer see any ups on the horizon I'd rather just put the club out of its misery.
  5. I don't know if its been shared or not on here before but does anyone know the stats for all the teams that have gone into administration how many have ceased to exist and how many have survived in some form? Even Bury reemerged in the 9th tier.
  6. I don't mind that line when we were treading water and there was a chance that with a fair wind we could make the play offs but this last 12 months they've slammed the club into reverse and there's no sign of it easing.
  7. It's like being kidnapped and saying "Arrest them? They've been feeding me ever since they had me tied to this radiator, without them I'd be dead"
  8. Another example of what just 12 months has done to us. This time last year that would have been like saying to a kid "stop eating chocolate cake or we'll shred your homework"
  9. This! All of last season we were lauding the upgrade from Lenihan to Hyam. When he got injured it was seen as a big blow to us. Now he's come back half fit into a struggling side he's an absolute disgrace and not a patch on Lenihan.
  10. I'll set off now and drive him there myself for half that fee. Is he showing any signs of being on the pitch this season?
  11. Was watching liverpool fulham last night where Cairney, Reed and Tosin were on display for Fulham and Elliot involved for liverpool and thought about doing a slightly different 11 of players we've had since 2012 now playing in the premiership. Got depressed when deciding between Raya and Kaminski and gave up.
  12. @glen9mullan really appreciate the insight you're able to share with us 👍
  13. Style of play is irrelevant. We first and foremost need bodies in the squad. Loaning out one of our most experienced players (a dire situstion to be in in the first place that a 26 year old Travis is one of the old heads of the squad) is not a good move. Our bench has looked like a nursery for the last month. We used to be incompetently treading water under the venkys. Now they're strangling the club to death. Take administration I say, we're effectively in admin anyway with an Indian judge saying what we can and can't spend money on.
  14. It'll be interesting how this is is reflected in the annual accounts. The accounts have to be prepared on a going concern basis, a key part of the going concern assessment is that venkys are willing and able to provide funding. If I was an auditor I wouldn't sign off the going concern assessment based on current events. Our year ending June 23 accounts haven't been submitted yet so it could well affect those accounts. I'm not sure when exactly this Indian tax stuff happened but even if it was July onwards this is a massive post balance sheet event that the auditors would consider in the going concern assessment. I don't know what the implications are in terms of football governance if a club is assessed as not being a going concern.
  15. My view has always been that I want venkys gone but to be careful what we wish for when fans start dreaming of administration. However this latest court fiasco has seem them strip the club. The squads down to the bare bones, no experience and no chance of a transfer pot. We're no longer treading water and it's barely even a managed decline. We need them gone by whatever means possible. I'm an eternal optimist, I live in the optimism thread. But now I think that this is no longer sustainable beyond this season. We'll get through this season but if the summer window is anything like the last 9 months, we're going to league 1. Which is a right kick in the teeth because I think if GB and JDT had been given even a modest pot over summer then we'd have been a nailed on top 6 side. We were a few signings off really challenging.
  16. What a difference 12 months makes. Imagine if someone had said that this time last year.
  17. I don't know why he had to go down there, it was an open goal and he was in a good position. In real time I thought it must be a pen because there was more chance of missing a pen than that chance so no point in going down
  18. I can understand coming back once - just - but a second come back would be pure stupidity and you'd not put your friends and family through it. That's assuming he's even allowed back.
  19. Andre Braugher aka Captain Holt in Brooklyn 99 died at 61. Great character brilliantly executed by Bruagher
  20. Ah good old man utd putting a bit of a shine back into the footballing weekend
