  1. 3m, ha. We paid a million just to borrow him for a season. Even as raw as he is, you would be talking at least 7 - 10 and City would still be saying no. That said, if the venkies/TM wanted a pet project that would almost certainly make them some money, this lad would be it. If only we had say 12 million around (oh we did but spent it all on strikers) and invested in defenders. This lad will be a full England international within two seasons if not sooner.
  2. Daniel Johnson, Patrick Bauer, Ben Davies, Darnell Fisher and Paul Gallagher all injured apparently. Three of those are defenders and all of them are starters most of the time.
  3. They have a number of injuries to some of their better players. Which is nice.
  4. Yeah, you would imagine that if he continues to impress with us, if he is not kept as a squad player at City next season, his next loan would be a bottom half PL team or something.
  5. This is why I hate loans sometimes, you just know he will be class somewhere else. Wish he was ours.
  6. The problem is that we basically set up for Dack to score. DG or whoever is up top is the target man and Dack and the other two beside him are meant to pick up the pieces. its easy to say lets just go and buy a 20 a season striker but it would mean completely changing the way we play. In a slight defense to TM, he has tried to do that this season - perhaps because he knows Dack will be off sooner or later. Armstrong and Rothwell should be getting better numbers rather than the striker in my opinion. I am a fan of Rothwell but the last two games he has not impressed. I do believe that given a run this may improve as it did at the end of last season. Arma also needs to be producing more of an end product. Imagine a team of Dack, Benrahma and Bowen as the three behind
  7. Exactly. Swansea is the fixture of the two where we can carry our momentum on. City, who knows, if we do come away with a good result against Swansea.
  8. The first line in one of the LT articles today sums it up for me. "Tony Mowbray named the same side for the third game in a row for this victory – the first time he’s done that since January." January was also the last time we had a really good run of results - this is not a coincidence. Also, that article highlights that we have now won 10, lost 2, and drawn 1 match when Travis and Evans have been our midfield partnership.
  9. If Leeds were to fall away this time around, it would the worst of their annual bottle jobs. Cannot see it happening and cannot see past those two both going up automatically. Fulham looked like they could challenge at one point - not sure what has happened there but they have fallen away. The good news is that we couldnt have picked a better time to go to Swansea. They have not won in 5 and we have won 4 on the trot.
  10. Ferdinand is the player he reminds me of too as a CB - but this lad has the potential to be better in my opinion. You can also see why WBA fans liked him in CDM and in that position you would imagine he would be like a Yaya Toure. This lad was playing U18's for City at 14 and was the captain of the side at 16. Will be playing for England soon as I could see him easily slotting in at Man City.
  11. See, every bodies gone to bed all content now. Not liking this. Kinda prefered it when it was like this
  12. We aint getting relegated at least. That can be put to bed now. We were bad during our awful run but there is far worse than us out there even when it might not feel like it.
  13. Too happy on here. Derby forums is a better read lol "Only 1-0 feels like a win." "Crap tactics, crap team line up, crap players. We are crap" "The longer this stays 1-0 the more chance we have of only losing 1-0." Seriously, they expected to still be challengers despite losing three players that now represent the full England team. Let's be honest, they were awful. I also think this Rooney experiment is not going to help. Only did average in the US while an older Ibrahimovic dominated the league - Rooney wasnt even the best player at DC United.
  14. To be fair, I mentioned giving Downing a go at left back on more than one occasion on here. Besides, it was not so much 'the side' that people wanted. it was square pegs in square holes. Consistency, and less of the tombola. LB, yes we have no option as Downing cannot be worse than what we already have there and in fact, is already showing that at 35, he is already the best that we have there - what does that say? The strikers on the wing, Bennett playing every position imaginable, Dack playing up front - this was the stuff people were moaning about. This has stopped, we have won 4 on the bounce. As for Arma, he has been pretty average, storming game today though. He also had a storming month last season - just the month though. Evans, we all know he can play when he wants - he must want it right now for whatever reason.
  15. Who cares? Bank the money - go back down. Dont like saying it - but the Bumly way.
  16. We got relegated on GD, i would not like the feeling of then going and missing out on the playoffs on GD.
  17. yeah we could do with tonking somebody, our GD is so out of tune with everyone else around us.
  18. Absolutely, those days seem to be firmly behind us. Tough games coming up though, Bristol away in particular, they just did Fulham on their travels.
  19. Certainly deserves big credit - he was on the ropes not so long ago and fair play to him for turning it around. Fabulous run and it is clear that the players are still playing for him. Please, please, please, stick with what is working.
  20. I like this winning feeling. Might pop back over to the Derby forums in a bit for a bit of moaning - they were pretty awful without half of Chelseas reserve team.
