I thought that too...you could see that Dack really enjoyed playing with Conway and appreciated his footballing brain. That is the difference between Conway and Armstrong and perhaps it comes with age and experience but some older players have to learn to adapt and be smarter when their bodies are not as capable as they once were.

Well what can we say, Conway was a breath of fresh air today and has now definitely staked his claim for that left side spot over Armstrong. Downing ala Beckanbauer was fabulous in his role for one of the goals and pretty solid at the back. Reed the usual energy and all over the place at times and most importantly, Dack and Graham have reconciled and are now back kissing eachother.

Think Rodwell and Reed would be an excellent pairing in midfield. Forget CB for the former and forget on the wings for the latter.

TM is deserves the plaudits for bringing a passion into the squad (last two games excluded) and massively improving the connection between the club, the players and fans. For that reason alone I am willing to see what he can do in the next few seasons to take that on further and see how he molds the squad. As long as we stay up and improve on that season by season we really cannot complain considering the shit we have had to deal with prior to him.

Apart from perhaps Mercer, nobody has called for him to be sacked. You always jump in with this as soon as any negative comments are posted regarding TM. he is not blameless, so you need to accept that he will get stick - this does not mean everyone is calling for his head.

Didnt take him long did it. What does being an international footballer and one of the best footballers in the world (though that is an overstatement, perhaps one of the best CBs in the country at the time but not in the world) have to do with becoming a manager? Alan Shearer is just one example of a player who actually was one of the best in the world not being cut out for management.

Edwards we should have been looking at and still should be as he is one of their better players - the other two and the other dross he brought from League 1 have not done so well though. But I think that was just bringing far too many from L1 all at once after the club sold a few of its more experienced Championship players.

How is it a valid argument that TM deserves no criticism for the performances in the past few games"because he is not on the pitch" ? I mean come on, we all know how much you love the guy but the buck stops with him. Yes the players have been awful but he is not exempt from criticism.

Been a lot more than the last two games if you ask me. he has not looked up to it in the last two months but how much of that is down to playing centre forward or all the press speculation/media work is anyone's guess.

I am not going to get drawn into talking about binning the guy off because he is a little way off that for me at the moment. However, he needs to turn things around because it is difficult to see where the next points are going to come from at this point. When two defeats in a row turns into 5 or 6 and we are suddenly involved in a relegation scrap - a good portion of the fans will turn. Aim this season has to be to stay up. I know we flirted with the top 6 for a while but that was more down to how open this division was at the start of the season.
