  1. Mental toughness is extremely important for a top keeper IMO. When they make a mistake it generally leads to a goal and they have to be able to put that aside very quickly and move on. I think this is why Steele will never be a top keeper (though he has somehow forged himself a decent career and can only imagine Brighton brought him in as some cheap home-grown never-to-play player to even out the numbers) as he seems unable to handle it all.
  2. Wednesday tried to get Mulgrew for like 100k or something embarrassing and Lenihan obviously attracted interest from the other Sheffield club. Truth is we do not know the phonecalls and bids that might have come in behind the scenes. I would expect there would have been interest for some of our players as plucking players from relegated clubs is quite normal. Wasnt there a story that 5 or 6 senior players had to be persuaded to stay?
  3. He is interesting top German clubs but from what I hear, he is top quality.
  4. Anyway we miss chaddy - right guys? Agree or not with him, he is rovers through and through - reinstate the lad ! Nobody should be alone at Christmas !
  5. Why the sudden 1 month ban? I didnt see anything and i am here every day.
  6. I thought that but there are quite a few chadisms in Marks postings if you look closely enough.
  7. go to ask admin section and you will be able to fill in the pieces.
  8. I didnt but then I knew about him before. Tore it up for Gils while he was there but fortunately for us, seemed to have a quieter year wit them after cornergate. Yeah but even when Dack has a quiet game or is marked out of it - you can still see the quality that he has in patches.
  9. Things are looking good for you guys right now. Been quite an open divison but we are now slipping - that said, consolidationw as always the aim and then push on from there. Optimistically going for a draw Woodgate for you and a Ferdinand OG.
  10. Would rather they were at home in their spare time playing Fortnite than out drinking tbh. Playing games is not something just young kids do anymore and what else would you expect them to be doing? They have been to training and I am pretty sure they are told to rest up and relax.
  11. Having watched highlights of the 5-5 draw with Forest a while back - I can confirm they certainly need a new keeper.
  12. Attracting interest from German and Spanish top clubs since his refusal to sign a new contract at Chelsea. I do admire that he wants to play and not become another Chelsea loanee for the next 5-years.
  13. There will be additions but I wouldnt expect anything major. Loans, a cheap move for Chapman and the Charlton CB on a free might be it. TBH, its departures I'm more worried about.
  14. I had them down as playoff material at best too. I would suggest its a combination of their Farking manager and the fact that many of the preseason favourites have not lived up to hype yet.
  15. Yep, he likes a forward 'that can' play on the wing if needs to be too - so SG fits the mold.
  16. Graham got 13 the same season which kind of puts it into perspective - I too thought Gallagher looked decent with us. Is he the like for like that we need for DG though? Not so sure but we need somebody else at least as our 7 million man is not getting much of a look in.
  17. Well there are rumors that the new guy wants to cut the squad size so that he can bring in more of his own players so that might be in our favour. I would imagine it will come down to what the new manager wants though as Reed is 24 now and needs to be established somewhere and playing regularly. I just feel that if we do not move quickly more competitive teams near the top will be keeping an eye on him.
  18. Yup, its like a reset going down there. Dross and high earners out - easy enough to get out of at the first attempt, and the club gets back into a bit of a winning mentality. No debt and a 30k hardcore will have them competitive at least in the championship going forward.
  19. Would the chairman have walked away from his own contract to go chair somewhere else? I mean look at the state of the club. Rodwell was made the scapegoat through little fault of his own there. They gave him the contract, an amount he is unlikely to ever see again - sure his performances for them might not have been great but the team and club as a whole was a complete shambles. I really hopes he comes good with us, obviously as we'd benefit but also so he can shove two-fingers up to that guy.
  20. Will call it now, Bauer and Chapman in and two loans when BB becomes perm and Palmer goes elsewhere (hopefully a striker and a LB). Fantasy stuff would be a perm deal agreed for Reed.
  21. He needs to reword it that the Championship was disappointed by the standard of Paul Hurst
