  1. Norwich beating Brum last night means that a win here automatically puts us above Brum in 8th place and depending on other results we could quite easily be back in or around the top 10. Have to go for this to get our outside playoff hopes back on track. Villa v Hull Forest v Bristol C Two interesting fixtures between teams in the mix above us which should mean dropped points - more reason to get at these and claim on 'paper' our easiest three points of the season.
  2. Bennett to add another position to his CV is my guess.
  3. Haha, probably a bit of all of us in there. Surely that is plagiarism though? As for their comments at the bottom - I am pretty certain they by majority would be saying the same thing if positions in the table were the opposite. If you cannot be confident or expect to win at home against the bottom club that has won 3 games all season and taken just 1 point in their last 7 away games, which games can you be?
  4. Once the tap is turned off unless these players have been smart with investments/businesses/property etc, doesnt take long for their lifestyle to drain what they have. Getting into drugs is not a good idea either.
  5. If Rotherham can muster 18 shots on goal against this lot, it would suggest that as long as we play on the front foot we should be creating plenty. Yes they finally got a win and have brought in a few players but lets take the three points that we really should be.
  6. That is more down to them though really. Arma should have more than he has and the player chosen on the otherside is usually a more defensive minded player like Bennett or Reed. I would argue it does work considering Dacks return and DG himself can be happy enough with his return also. Only Arma should have more really - he has had plenty of chances. Evans and Smallwood are hardly ever going to be brave enough to go past the halfway line let alone get in the box much.
  7. Sorry but thats tosh - Our whole system revolves around him. Sure, in terms of getting goals they seem to come in dibs and dabs but that really isnt his main role. The system is designed to get Dack the goals (and the others behind) and he does it fantastically. We are like chalk and cheese when he is on/off the pitch.
  8. Is quite an odd statement tbh and while I admire his loyalty to his core players, the fringe players are going to look at it as being almost impossible to get into the team. Travis only played because Smallwood was suspended, Rothwell barely gets a look in and now Rodwell (who has played well the majority of the time when selected) has basically been told he will not start if everyone else is fit unless there are 3 games a week when he 'might' get a chance.
  9. Yup there were no better strikers in world at that time than those 3. Id have Shearer over those two as well.
  10. So you think spying is fair game? Andrews is a bit of a plonker but he is bang on, as is Lampard. Beisla may have done this kind of thing before abroad and has admitted it, so plaudits for that but what ankles is the fact that he asked permission from the club to send spies to other clubs in the first place (not a good look for an already despised club).
  11. Why wouldnt he want to break into a PL first eleven? Course he would say that but if its not possible - you can have a permanent fixture in ours Harrison! Great news and glad that the club want him permanently - just think a few others will as well.
  12. Think he has fallen out with them over expectations - I think what you said in that they were expecting to throw money at it and go straight up is the crux of it. They might be well placed to make the playoffs but a couple of poor defeats seemingly has pushed them to push him out as they expect automatic promotion. The fans actually rate the manager saying he is the best they have had for many years and cannot believe this has happened and I find it all odd anyway, he was still molding his team. it seems that the Championship has become a gambling tool for the super rich. Chuck a ton of money at it and hope to reach the promised land and mega-TV deals.
  13. Was excited to see what this kid could do judging on the praise he got for his performances for Burton for half a season at Championship level. Still have hope that he has just been very unfortunate with injuries.
  14. I think there should be a loan market but not as it is right now. A club like ours sending a small number of kids out to L1 and 2 is for the benefit of both clubs as the lower league club gets a cheap player for the season while we get to see how that kid develops. Chelsea sending out 40+ per season is just bonkers and is surely killing off so much talent. They just mop up the best talent around and ruin at least half of it. The loan market should not be used for financial gain in my opinion. Some of their players like Hector and Kane are not even kids anymore, they're 25-years old having been shunted all over the country for their entire careers to date. I would scrap loan fees and keep it to a percentage of wages paid and limit the number each club is allowed to loan out each season. This would spread the talent around and would force Chelsea to release a few of these kids who would have a better chance of making it by being snapped up by a lower league club and having to show the ambition and ability to make their way up the football ladder.
  15. Too late, its already started - this will be over twitter now. All because of a poorly worded 'dream'.
  16. He is just saying that he hopes Palmer going to Bristol City is because we have put in a bid and had it accepted for Brownhill. I dont think he is saying that this has actually happened - just that he hopes it has.
  17. Also, the part about putting 10 - 15 million quid in a year to keep the club ticking over is just modern football. Who was it that shared a link which shows that practically every club in this division in reliant on their owners putting in 90%? They would have known that this football club is not self-sufficient when they bought it.
  18. Tuesdays especially must have been even more boring.
  19. Yup, get the feeling Palmer was brought in just in case Dack was sold. injured, struggling to make the step up, or sent to prison. Was purely backup and that would not have gone well with Palmer or Chelsea in that regard.
  20. Sticking Reed and Travis in CM together would be a start in my opinion - at least at home. Away to the better teams you could put Evans or Smallwood alongside one of them.
