That being so why have no prem clubs come in for his signature? I know he is/was a good player but it would suggest that either there is not much outside interest for whatever reason or Boro are paying more than PL clubs would offer.

I'd definitely take a draw but if we could somehow pull off a win id be ecstatic.

Bit harsh really for Downing as he has not really let anyone down this season when played. I imagine this is more him pushing for a move somewhere to get regular playing time as his contract is up and he should ideally be playing to be given a better chance of getting one elsewhere.

We have decent depth now and I think our next game against Hull will sort of tell us whether our season ends up as playoff hopefuls or safe mid-table plodders. Get some kind of result against them will carry on our momentum having picked up 100% so far in 2019. We then have a few easier matches (on paper) after that with some big fixtures happening between sides directly above us. Being just six points away from the playoffs currently means that a few good wins and we could really be in the mix. Agree that it has been a great season for us so far - most of us (myself included) would have just been happy enough to consolidate ourselves in this division at the start of it.

He needs one in off the face like Nuttall - would he get himself in that position though is the question.

When he first joined he probably would have thought he was guaranteed a place in the starting eleven. As things stand now, he might find it hard to get into the matchday squad when fit. The emergence of Travis, Rodwell showing he still has it, and the success of Reed combined with Evans and Smallwood means he will have his work cut out now.

Cannot argue withat that, we havnt yet to play two full backs on one side to negate the opposition fullback like last season.

Exactly, people that want to see the highlights are going to watch the professionally done version rather than the shaky out of focus affort from some kid in the stands unless of course he uploads them first.

Absolutely - he is a fan after all and a very passionate one. Club needs to embrace its younger generation of fans rather than pull this stuff. Would have been quite easy to get in touch with him via social media or even by phone if they already knew who he was and where he was sitting.

Dont think this is the club per-se as others have pointed out. The lad has been doing it for a few years now and surely if it bothered them they would have spoken to him sooner. Pressure from TV companies is most likely but it is really pathetic of them. We do not have to wait long for highlights to come out and we all watch those purely for the goals, not vblogger content. Besides, surely they could have just said that vblogging is fine as long as the content is uploaded after the highlights have been? People watch to capture the atmosphere in and around the ground rather than the goals.

And I will die a happy man if this were to come to fruition.

Get him a contract to sign. Low risk, low cost for a former England international that should be hitting his peak years. No-brainer.

Still young and is improving all the time - TM keeps saying that he will play in the PL oneday and the only other player I have heard him say this about is Dack - so will trust him on that opinion.

Could go down as a marvelous piece of business - I would be offering him two years now and getting him involved more in the first team. I prefer him in CM ideally alongside Reed or Travis but he has improved at CB too. His agent will be putting the feelers out as even if a PL wont touch him yet there will now be plenty of Championship clubs who will have seen him play and will think he is a great freebie to pick up at the end of the season.

Course they do - even the players. I bet Dack is always on here when not playing his now stolen FM save.
