  1. For the season? He has played games for Boro this season - recently in fact. Is he fit to be starting regularly? Perhaps not but come on man, no need to put a dampener on this.
  2. Me too, BA has done it over a number of seasons consistently.
  3. Didnt see this one coming. Worried about his injury record but really hope he brings as much joy (and more) as he did in such a brief spell last time. Really gets people of their seats as you can see from the video on Twitter. Risky signing but low-risk in my opinion - bit like Rodwell. Now we just have to get BA in if we can somehow club together enough to pay his 150k a week wages.
  4. You say that as if it's poor. Let's not forget that at Boro he is mainly played out of position. Round it off as 40 in a 100 then, that's a 2.5 games to goal ratio. Wont find much better than that in this division over such a sample size.
  5. He has 100 goals from 200 odd appearances, you'll struggle to find another or at the least many with numbers like that.
  6. he is slowly inching up then. Wiki actually has him as 1.77 m (5 ft 10 in)
  7. Exactly, we should be doing it to protect our investment more than anything. He can walk for free in a few months, at least if he is on a contract and gets tempted away we stand to make some money. Anyone that has seen his performances lately will be keeping tabs on him if not already speaking to his agent. There is a fine line between making a player earn a new contract and making him feel we're not too bothered about him so that he looks at other options.
  8. Travis is a big part of our latest purple patch. Just love the way his first thought is to get the ball forward. That run into their box past three of their players is something you'll never see a Smallwood or Evans do.
  9. Odd, he doesnt look small to me, especially THAT small. Thats like 5 foot 7
  10. Well, i picked the wrong couple of days to not visit this board. if we're being offered BA at 9/10 million, if Balaji is feeling flush we should definitely be biting their hands off. Proven goalscorer at this level, probably one of best strikers in the league on his day in fact. Big, strong, powerful and pacey and knows how to finish. Seems Pulis doesnt fancy for him for how he likes his teams to play and other rivals are probably up to their limit in terms of their 3-year cycle? Ours has only just started so we might be one of only a few willing and able to pick him up? Anyway, all that said...still quite fanciful stuff when you consider what his wages must be.
  11. Luton could get back to back promotions - just had a look down at league one.
  12. You may well do and it is likely you'll go up as the two but i seriously think you'll be back down. Not a bad thing at all mind.
  13. Not at what he does anyway. Rhodesis Wednesdays best paid player but on the bench. DG is not a striker that will get you 20 goals a season but he will make sure we tick as a team. You can see his joy when anyone scores as he knows he has done his job.
  14. Dunno really...while you're top, its hardly like you have run way witht the eague - we did beat you after all and you didnt look owt. Do you think you have the quality to keep up? Decent manager but now he will have mi5 on him every game.
  15. 'someone' - so we're meant to form an opinion on one player due to one other persons opinion of said player? i woulkd suggest that moving on, much in the same way as Sancho, Diaz, and their latest one who'se name escapes me, suggests these young players are not enjoing their lack of opportunity at City. Davenport was deemed to be up there with Foden at one point, so ill take that.
  16. DG is a player we will find very difficult to replace. Dack will also be a hell of a lot less fruitful. he might not be a Shearer but DG has that experience that these younguns can only wish for.
  17. Whats the difference though? They have to come in at some point and it seems we aint picking up anyone this window...so why not pick up players now for next season if it takes so long to get up to speed.
  18. I think one of the Rotherham players painted my house last weekend - what went on there? Bah, even you lot cannot come unstuck against tripe like that lot...lets see how things pna out. I will say this though, yo0u'll be coming straight back down - just as we probably will...albeit billions richer.
  19. And there you have it - i think this is the platform to push on from now. Lose this game and its 'meh'. We have something to aim for and who knows - we might just pass you int he process ?
  20. Chadster welcome back my old mucker - how have your Tuesdays been?
  21. Agreed, Graham also shows alot of leadership qualities. he loves being here and you can see it. it will be a tough gig to replace DG, not only for his holdup and finishing abilities but for what he provides in the dressing room.
  22. I have been deemed to be perhaps on the more pessimistic/negative side on these forums but i do not understand the now critiscism of Dack. Didnt we all earlier int he season cite how we are so reliant on him? he has had a few quiet games by his standards (yet still got an assist today and still does his little moments of magic). Things really must be bad if out of the whole team performance we're picking at the man that will have the most influence in bringing us to the PL at the moment.
  23. I likeds your post but have to say that critiscism of Graham or Dack is not warranted.
