Rodwell really is not a CB no matter how much he says he is and wants to play there. He may have started there in his youth days but there is a reason all managers since have put him midfield where he has been bought for 15 million and played for England.

Dack either off or been told he is not - something has unsettled the dressing room. Half the team has now signed better contracts, some which are probably their last and now they are not overly bothered - I just hope severe relegation clauses have been put in them. Biggest gripe for me though is the summer transfer business. 10 million to spend but other than a player we already had on loan last year (who looks awful this one), only the Southampton estate agency gets regular game time (mainly out of position). The BB deal looks odder each match and surely that 7 million could have been better used to sign two or even three players that would be more involved.

I get that but he was good enough to start for Forest 33 times in the Championship in the previous two seasons but now Dack or Palmer are considered better as strikers. Just all seems odd to me thats all.

Exactly, he has played more games in the Championship by the age of 19 that Dack has by 24 but he is deemed not good enough or bulky enough to play up front. Looking at Transfermarkt of the 18 games he played two seasons a go, 13 were starts, while last season he started 25 of the 35 games he played in. The Forest fans that came on here the time of the signing all said he was better centrally and they didnt like when he was played wide.

Age is a number and the kid is a big unit already with 50 previous Championship games under his belt. Ez E at QPR is the same age and he is seemingly being let off the reigns to good effect.

I think the aspect that is the most bemusing though is that we would rather play an AM as a striker rather than this kid. I would imagine that disrupts the team a lot more than giving the kid a game. I think most would be far more patient if they got a chance to see a full game from him to gauge what he has. If he didnt score for a few games i doubt it would be a big deal as one up front is not all about goals (hence why DG doesnt get too many).

Not saying we need to drop him - would be madness. This false nine business obviously does him no favors either and I also feel that DG has not been up to par lately and when that happens it has a direct effect on Dacks game as well. Something is just not clicking with the whole team right now.

Finishing is finishing at the end of the day and he was very good at it last season. The lad can finish but I just think he is lacking confidence and been a little unlucky in that regard so far this season. Pretty sure that once one goes in he will have a bit of a run of goals. As for Dack, its alarming just how much his form has dropped off in recent weeks. Something going on in the background?

This was said at the consultation, so is not a plea at all. The club has just used it to try and get more people in. Nothing wrong with that of course.

He has been a breath of fresh air compared to some of the other dross in recent years but he has shown that he sometimes persists with things that do not work. We had the 3 at the back and now it is the 0 up front. How many times will he try this before giving up on it? I just find it truly baffling that he puts Palmer up front because 'he can head the ball a bit' when we have a 7 million striker that cannot get in the team. What is the deal with this BB transfer? If BB was signed as a winger, or is too far away to be a striker, why did we not bring one in? I think most of us in the summer would have had a striker as the number one priority due to DGs age and the amount of minutes he can play. We probably did not expect to be backed with 7 million to get one and were probably quite pleasantly pleased - but then it seems he is not even a striker (in TMs eyes at least).

Can only see that happening if they get relegated though. He is 24 now and should be tired of being shunted around season after season. I know it is a bit of a pipedream transfer as if he were available I can see others being interested in him too. If was me though I would be doing everything possible to get him int he door permanently.
