  1. Know they wouldn’t. What absolute nonsense. This is not living on the edge no money to feed the kids scenario. We would all back a man that has to do what he had to do. This has disloyalty to the men in the tranches with him. It’s not about the fans it’s about the guys you’ve sat next to ever day for years. The chance for everybody to get a bonus. I cannot on any level as a man understand him. It just astounds me. I remember Shearer saying he only ever wanted to look at himself in the mirror and say he’d done all he could. There is no way that he believes this is the mans way. It’s disgusting. Probably even more than Bradley Orr because we have a chance and he couldn’t put the team first. I apologise its a word I find offensive but what a cunt
  2. I never get this but it’s football. You are the person you are footballer, road sweeper, nurse. Everybody recognises moral responsibility and also how your decisions identify you as a person. So the idea that it’s football negates what is a decision that affects all the individuals around him is a very flawed argument. I would personally never do what he is doing it shows a lack of moral fibre and a lot of greed. Whatever measure he is trying to rationalise this on as a man he is a disgrace. He also probably knows it
  3. The only saving grace is that Rothwell is dealing with Venkies. He’s going nowhere. If him and his agents idea is that they will hold Venkies over a barrel by refusing to play he must have not understood anything in his time here. See you Tuesday Joe
  4. Great news to here your dad is ok and now on the road to recovery. My best wishes to your dad and yourself
  5. I can’t argue with your opinion. Quantitatively by the measures available our overall position appears to be about 12th. The current position is below that read into that what you will.
  6. where we are in team tables Most trophies won 12th most successful 7th most successful team decade on decade number of times champions of England 11th Success in the premiership on points 12th most seasons in the premiership 12th average points per game in the premiership 8th number of fa cups won 7th Widely accepted as the most successful small town club of all time Is that enough metric
  7. That is a great photo and brings back a lot of wonderful memories
  8. Armstrong played for himself. That’s not a criticism but a fact. We are a far better team without him. He never brought others into play, held it up, tracked back or defended from the front. Brereton in team terms is 10 time the player Armstrong was. He also did some of those things pre Diaz. Armstrong will be found out at a higher level because his all round game is self serving
  9. I looked at this and immediately thought agent looking for headline to get his client a new contract. In my opinion not going anywhere. He’s on a great number here no pressure from above, no pressure from below regardless 2 in 17, 7v0 at home these are events that get you sacked or the fans turn. He’s angling for a new 5 year journey. Why he would want to stay at a small club like Rovers who can’t compete when he’s got the chance to go to a big club like Ipswich only he can answer.
  10. I’ll add to that the big crowds at the end of the 60s beginning of the 70s was due to us. In that time blackburn supporters used to follow them because they believed we where one and the same. I used to go onto the beehole with 20 or 30 of my dads friends who were rovers season tickets holders and they would cheer Burnley. The beehive during the time of Peter noble ,frank casper and Ralph Coates was almost entirely rovers fans They where the ones who changed the dynamics when things changed and they where no longer top dog. Rather than returning the favour they turned nasty and where we are now is because of them.
  11. Positives. Yesterday was a great turn out by rovers. Bristol isn’t a bad place to visit. Negatives: we just seem to lack ambition and are content to contain. The only saving grace is that this is par for the course for most of the teams in this league. First two are already given after that it’s whose luck holds out. Let’s hope it’s us
  12. And to the supporters who still believe Mowbray is the answer and couldnt we get any better. Have some pride in our club we are far better than what is being offered and what’s being done.
  13. We just need a real big clear out and I include Dack in that. Speedie recognised the pain that humiliation would cause and voiced it. Venkies cant be dealt with but the rest can. Mowbray is a poor leader who to achieve league one promotion handed authority to the senior pros and lost respect. The problem is these players think they are doing us a favour being here and as Mowbray as continually told us we are a small club. After Wednesday I wish the lot of them would just piss off and do some other club a favour by being there. Wednesday was a professional disgrace and Mowbray can’t even see that so why should the players. Give me Roy Keane he may not have the best track record but at least he will give us our pride back
  14. This morning having slept on that I can add a new word to my Rovers vocabulary. Humiliated everything about our club is shameful. Last night team effort , the post match comments from Mowbray and the silence from waggot and Venkies just leaves me humiliated
  15. His comments are Keane like.denial of the facts infront of him. Refusal to accept responsibility. Trying to convince everyone they have not witnessed what they have. Gaslighting.Clinging on to a post he is no longer fit to hold. I’m not really concerned if I’m criticised but this is Becoming Keane mark2. Mowbray is a delusional, manipulative liar. Money or no money Venkies are absolutely appalling owners. Please sell us,put us into admin but for god sake just go and take all the wankers and the bad memories with you.
  16. Going nowhere. I’m unsure how bad he has to be to get sacked or resign. No one boos because it’s become useless because no one listens. It’s sickening really he has very little shame and can’t even apologise. Never ever have I known a manager like him. Gutted
  17. Thanks for that didn’t know what was possible. That’s me done then. The real answer is don’t get pressurised into covering an extra day.
  18. I’ve had to work away at the last minute but I finish early can you pay on reading iFollow to watch the game via their stream.
  19. My score prediction 3v0 rovers because that’s how it works. We then come back on a wave of euphoria lose at home to reading and surprisingly get dumped on our arse by a despondent derby I know that because the two predicted shit shows I’m going to.
  20. No manager survives the run he had. None. It’s amazing and in itself a snapshot of who we are owned by and how they view it. So is it then any surprise that an owner that runs us as a business on a 5 year cycle gives him no funds. This is not a criticism of your view but after that run he needed firing out of a cannon let only be sacked. So does a dead in the water manager at the end of a 5 year cycle deserve backing?
  21. Brought on himself. Handed out big contracts to players he didn’t need( mulgrew). Took care of smallwood and the permanently injured guy whose name fails me. Spent 12 million on strikers. That’s Without Armstrong. With the full contingent won 2 out of 17 and the third worst run in rovers history. He hasn’t had his hands tied the current budget is what he should have worked with. Life has been to generous to him. Rather than his hands tied he’s fucked up an opportunity. No sympathy for an underachiever who in reality should have been no where near a job like this with a budget like he’s had. Rejected by Chesterfield before we took him on. It all boils down to poor ownership. McCarthy under pressure for losing 6 his predecessor Harris for fired on 5. What exactly is it you feel sympathy for 2 in 17.
  22. I think our major flaw is in the middle of the park. Watching from the Jack Walker we always seem a yard off. Opposition defenders head out no midfield challenge. Opposition attack our defenders clear no midfield. Brereton and Gallagher were both berating them because they seem to have lost any awareness or anticipation. We don’t seem to be able to maintain pressure or relieve pressure because we are never first to the ball. All in all a draw was no more than we deserved. Tactical average. Butterworth no poveda. Ive reached the point where I’m not sure what the answer is if it’s not changing the manager.
  23. In the end greed will kill the goose that lays the golden egg.
