  1. For me this deal had The V,s mitts all over it. The insistence on pursueing the appeal as far as possible even when the opinion of the DOF was it was highly unlikely to succeed. The sudden availability to pay a wage way above the ceiling. The fact JDT wanted a striker and not another mid fielder. it was another of their special operation punts. Let's not forget they have previous for pursueing pointless legal cases and not listening to advice
  2. Nixon has not had a Scooby about Rovers for some time then suddenly back doing pieces on O'Brien and Diaz. It's all froth and a PR exercise.
  3. Probably the same mythical 30k a week as for the forest lad.
  4. Looking on BBC football transfers the Markanday deal is listed at one minute to midnight on the time line very much one of the last deals to go through. That one very nearly didn't happen as well!
  5. Desperate stuff but no such problems getting the outgoiñg markandy deal over the line probably spent all their time getting the appropriate paperwork for that deal in order!
  6. No worries I am convinced there will be another Liverpool loanee arriving in the summer.
  7. I see Joe Nuttall ex of this parish is now playing his trade at Oldham
  8. Contract runs out end of the season I,m sure uncle Tony will look after him just like he did with gladwin
  9. Harsh. I would also suggest Millwall have as much chance of a top six finish as we have
  10. May depend on the system you are using. I have problems with a dated laptop running an older program. It is less of a problem using a modern tablet.
  11. i see Nahki Wells starts for Bristol he generally scores against us if we can keep him quiet that would be good
  12. Felix Goddard has returned from the loan to Bamber Bridge
  13. Had a trip to watch Bamber Bridge yesterday against Guiseley in particular to see how Felix Goddard was getting on. Felix had an excellent game making a number of crucial saves and commanding his box coming for high balls and catching them despite a battering from the Guiseley forwards. Unusual to see a keeper so dominant of his area at this level
  14. Think Tomlinson was Chorleys player of the season last year. However in recent weeks he has lost his place in the starting eleven to Joe Nolan. It has also been rumoured he returned at the start of the season a stone over weight. Hope he can knuckle down to fight for his place.
  15. Matt Derbyshire now36 reunited with Mark Hughes on an 18 month contract at Bradford
  16. Looks like the entire squad will be leaving then!
  17. A successful manager or head coach identifies their players strengths and develops a system to maximize this. They do not impose a system that the players cannot adapt to.
  18. V,s now in to the tune of 216million 6 mill allocated for incoming transfers most of which spent in the summer. 3 mil investment in hitlab an unlisted canadian company. Profit includes armstrong and training ground sales without those running at loss of 20 mill plus
  19. Comparison to a mini are disrespectful to the mini. These away performances are more like a lada never gets out of first gear
  20. A return to the red and black striped away shirt for next season ala ac Milan would be most welcome
  21. I've come to the conclusion JDT is an old school Italian manager. Get in the lead and half way through the second half go ultra defensive and protect it at all costs and see the game out. Certainly seems to be working at home. Just needs to find a solution to the away form with greater consistency and the world is our oyster.
  22. The ripped jeans lad was playing for Walsall at the time. Think the surname began with O. Think he signed for Bolton. All could be completely wrong.
  23. The style of play is to knock it around at the back until the diagonal wide striker is in space and then play the diagonal. If the pass is successful move up field to support the wide striker in possession and then look to play a ball inside the full back. It's completely one dimensional and prone to breakdown with misplaced passes consequently there is no end product. Without a focal point to the attack who can retain the ball to bring others into play the ball will continue to be turned over. Until JDT grasps this we can expect many more performances like Wigan away. It seems JDT has been on the same coaching courses as Tony Mowbray. Which would you prefer Sam's percentage football or JDT's one dimensional tripe?
  24. I am told Mick Rathbone has joined Oldham as physio
