  1. Over 150 applications would indicate that no one is being scared off by Venkys reputation. It's a pretty unique situation to have the chance to take over a club in the top six of the league at this stage of the season, and I would imagine plenty of top coaches/ managers would jump at the chance. Personally not taking a bit of notice of the betting latest , as no one has a clue what the club is thinking.
  2. I'll lay you odds the new manager will be none of the above
  3. Extended highlights of yesterday's game. Very impressive stuff from the youngsters and you're not wrong about Sergeant!
  4. Hopefully another 8 game ban coming !
  5. That fucking thug Osmajic at it again Looks like he's made some racist comment aimed at Hannibal which has sparked an unsavoury incident
  6. Hopefully Edin Terzic or Brian Priske rather than Karanka or Carvalhal.
  7. No way we would consider Rohl, although we probably should. It would be a case of out of the frying pan, into the fire for him. Think the Wednesday fans hate Chansiri as much as we do the Venkys
  8. The transformation of Gueye from Bambi on ice to prime Drogba is one of the most incredible sights I have witnessed as a Rovers fan. Long may it continue
  9. Just a word for David Lowe. I know he has had plenty of stick on here in the past for some unknown reason. Just listened to his post match interview and he seems a very quiet, likeable humble guy who loves working with, and trying to improve, players. Maybe the reason he seems to stick around when managers leave is because the players love him. Time to lay off him perhaps ?
  10. They are a completely different side at the moment, their manager's got them playing well. Watched the Liverpool game the other day, the 2 centre halves are monsters
  11. Getting a bit ahead of myself hear, but could anybody fancy a Rovers v Bastards semi final play off. Don't think my ticker would take it
  12. David Lowe is a tactical genius! Just give him the fucking job 💙🤍 Honestly, have to say wasn't expecting that tonight. West Brom fans very confident before the game, claiming it was their strongest line up
  13. Just shows you should never write a player off too early. Gueye absolutely proving the point.
  14. Fwiw, Reading Nixons article, I don't think Boateng is being considered as manager, but possibly part of a new management team, IE assistant of some sort. That's how I read it anyway
  15. Hang on, if Eustace had his way it would have been Bamford and Wallace, not Kargbo and Dennis. Not saying he didn't get as much as he could out of the team but he had nothing to do with those signings I would guess.
  16. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/15xoKqCjK5/ Simon Jordan on Talksport talking about JE. Not holding back
  17. He'll keep them up though, only a point off safety. Don't think their owner is mega rich in ownership terms so not sure if there will be much money spent
  18. Eustace and Blackburn … the end of an awkward relationship New 13 minutes ago By Alan Nixon John Eustace’s imminent exit from Blackburn Rovers comes as little surprise … even if his next club sit in the drop zone. It was an open secret that the coach was keen on other jobs or at least his camp were - a habit that has been part of his career so far. Eustace has found out like many other managers that Blackburn are strange behind the scenes. There are questions about the money and who spends it. The problems really emerged in public when he called for players in the summer and eventually got them but only after the ‘committee’ could not agree. Eustace likes older players. He showed that by hardly using some talented ones on loan when he arrived. Older players cost so that narrowed the market. And the additions of Rudy Gestede and Adam Owen to the team selecting left everyone trying to figure out who did what. Eustace was being over ruled on some and encouraged to take others. In the end he got many he wanted … but still he complained. The petty politics popped up whenever there was a chance to talk about signings who Eustace did not really want being referred to as THEIR players. The January window brought SIX signings and many came in the right age group. Eustace still got linked with a move away. Upstairs it has been a case of waiting for one of the clubs he had chased actually coming for him. So when Derby arrived one insider said ‘There is a lot of relief around here.’ There is no question that Blackburn have been dysfunctional at times but landing Emmanuel Dennis for much less than rival bidders because they waited until the death was a triumph. Now the search for a new boss begins. Chief executive Steve Waggott picked Eustace in a hurry last time and was one of his big allies at the end. It will be interesting to see who comes into a top six side this time. There should be plenty of candidates in and out of work.
  19. If you didn't laugh you'd cry. The thing is they probably believe that.
  20. Not sure if there's anything in this 🤞
  21. Jackson pretty scathing for an LT reporter in his latest column https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24922325.blackburn-failed-john-eustace-mistakes/
