  1. Interesting, but that article is over 18 months old and I personally don't think Gelhardt has lived up to his promise. Disappointing by all accounts at Sunderland last season. I would hope he's not the striker being rumoured as a replacement for Gallagher if he leaves
  2. This is going to be a huge few weeks coming up, with the end of the window and 4 home games on the bounce, starting with Huddersfield on Saturday, who we owe one after the performance at their place. No excuses about horrendous fixture schedules, there's plenty of time now to get back on the training pitch and sort out our problems. I would be more worried if I didn't know that the likes of Hyam and Carter are good players in an awful patch of form, something they'll come out of soon hopefully. Selling Gallagher at the moment would not be a good idea, just like letting Travis go was a mistake. These are the type of players you need on the pitch in situations like this, whatever you may feel about them
  3. Yeah, I bet Ipswich don't play him on the right wing
  4. Rovers to listen to loan offers for 6 youngsters https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1212619190?-11198:839
  5. Rovers now 3-2 up after being 2-0 down early on. A goal for Batty along with 2 assists. Edit now 4-2 Ennis with 2 (1 pen) and Markandy the other scorers
  6. Some kind words from James Hill after his return to Bournemouth
  7. Anybody feel another digital day disaster from our genius CEO ?
  8. Didn't have a good time at Sunderland last season at all. Gelhardt is not an out and out striker from what I've seen. If he did come in I can't see him scoring more goals than Siggy, tbh. The LT reckons there's nothing in it either
  9. Doubt JDT will expand on Travs departure to any great extent. Probably just the usual about needing experience, certainly won't talk about any fall out with hom
  10. Agree. He is just one of a number of players that have been below par for a few weeks now.
  11. He's at Standard Liege on loan at the moment, so not sure how that works unless his contract there is terminated?
  12. Wouldn't say it was his worst game yesterday but he has been a lot better. Had a big assist for Sammis goal though
  13. We've been linked with a couple of full backs as well though, one of them was the Rotherham right back,/wing back yesterday. Didn't particularly impress me though
  14. I realize this is probably pie in the sky stuff but just putting it out there. Would people be happy with this ? Do you think there could ever be a situation similar to what's happening with Jim Ratcliffe at Utd, whereby Venkys would be willing to accept a substantial cash injection from a third party for a minority share in the club ? They would maintain overall control ,but the new investors would have the say on any transfers in or out, thus removing the need for every decision to have to go through India before approval. I would imagine a figure of around £20 m spent wisely could see us challenging again for promotion to the Premier League, and the new investors would recoup their money back with the fortune to be gained. Like I say, probably get shot down for this, but it's just an idea to get us out of the meandering situation we're in at the moment. Plus, is that person or persons out there ?
  15. That explains a lot over the recent centre back speculation
