  1. Just hope the players are all fired up for this and we at least go down fighting if it happens. If we sit back and try playing for a draw but they still knick a goal and we go down that would be unforgivable and Eustace would have to go. (and I've been in favour or on the fence about Eustace up until today)
  2. Kasbian are Leicester, just like oasis/the gallaghers are city. Hearing them played by any other club just doesn't sit right. (and I'm saying that as a massive oasis/gallagher fanboy)
  3. The walk out song really does have to change! And I like the chilli peppers as a band on the whole but that song is pretty weak and has no relevance to rovers at all. That said i cant stand final countdown. Having a regular house/stadium dj in each game is a good idea, but it would need to be someone local with good broad music tastes and a rovers fan ideally, not just some cheesy wedding renta dj knobhead
  4. Fair point, i think what I'm getting at is they should be playing something that the normal working class lads and their dads can enjoy, something that actually represents the town in some way without it being some dopey clichéd peter kay esque singalong.
  5. 'Couldn't give a feck' then why comment at all Stuff like no limits is what made the charts and got played in regular nightclubs(in various remixes) years after the very short lived acid house scene ended. I mentioned that song simply because it has a good intro, it's upbeat and is easy to sing along to(should you want to) Ya daft tw@t.
  6. What would you like then?? The real teens of blackburn(those that live on the estates, not the ponsy outskirt areas) still listen to dance music and the like, probably passed down from their parents
  7. Yeh right now its irrelevant, we may as well just play the undertakers bells from wwf and be done with it for this season. Im thinking more in the future when there's hopefully a smidge of optimism back in the air
  8. Don't let your flask get cold love. Yes it is naff, but in a good way. Unlike the unoriginal dullard crap that usually get played. Not a single original idea in any of the match day, media or creative teams at ewood.
  9. Sorry going on a bit of a tangent here! But why is the music at ewood always so shit and naff!!? The sound system itself is awful and just deafeningly loud for no reason(particularly in the riverside anyway) I was also just going down a youtube hole and came across 2 unlimiteds 'No Limits' which i hadn't heard for yonks. That should absolutely be OUR song! When people go on about 90s music now its all oasis, britpop, guitar music, etc.. But tbh that mostly went over the heads of most working class local blackburn teens at the time! Who where still largely just listening to techo dance music(often with god awful mc over the top making it even worst) and thats the music you heard banging out of most nightclubs at the time(back when blackburn had nightlife and packed out clubs every weekend! ) weirdly if anything i felt like a bit of a weirdo for being big into oasis and the like at the time and hating dance music. But now it does make me feel nostalgic to hear that old dance music and I think it really represents real blackburn... So anyway, I was just thinking that 'No Limits' was a great anthem of that time and I'm sure Too Unlimited played some of the clubs in Blackburn So Ewood lackeys! If your going to play something ridiculously loud it may aswell be a massive tune like this that will get everyone (apart from the usual flask brigade) on their toes and its an easy song to belt out https://youtu.be/jcewZ5Sk8_M?si=zOCQXD5n7_KqeM5E
  10. Well in the regularly repeated words of a wise old man(well chaddy!) 'that's just your opinion'
  11. But Ayari, Chrisene and koumetio haven't even really been given a chance only as a last resort! Our midfield has been crying out for a more creative player like Ayari, but still he only gets the odd cameo and Chrisene is easily better than pickering! Koumetio hasn't even been given a start thatvi can remember and Ibthink his physical presence and hussleNbussle style could have causrd a bit of chaos and given thecteam a lift in the drab stale games
  12. I'm not so certain, if we go down then yes you are probably right. But if we stay up then I think something needs to change in the keeping dept! Wahlstadt can't just be left to fester on the bench and in reserves especially after paying good money for him, I think he'll be pushing for a move away, most likely a season loan away as nobody is going to pay near what we did for him Leaving just Pears, who is just gurenteed to keep costing us points and leaving the defenders in front of him with no confidance in him...
  13. I get your point, but it still sucks giant balls, also as we are higher in divisions and stature than Rochdale there's a LOT more potential money at stake when we lose one of our quality academy players for virtually nothing
  14. IF we are lucky enough to stay up we should be all over Rotherhams Viktor Johanson. Reported release clause of just 1 mill! which is a snip for a relatively young quality established championship keeper (especially considering we paid not far off that for Wahlstadt) We should offer them swede in return sending them Leo on loan for a season as they'll be looking for a keeper. Kind of deal venkys usually purrr over. Relatively young(for a keeper!) low price, likely modest wages and still a lot of room for him to improve as a player and increase his value.
  15. A lot of chatter about Finneran being snapped up by a prem or german club... I honestly don't see the fkin point of spending millions developing players for years if the most promising players can just walk away for nothing or at best give us a season before getting sold? And we just end up keeping the very average 3rd/4th rate(at best) players. It used to be a great thing in the past seeing young players get into the first team and give us a good few years at least before leaving
  16. Eustace won't be going anywhere, people simply need to accept that until maybe halfway through next season(whichever league that may be in)
  17. Yep 😞 I said a while ago it would just be like us(under venkys) to leave or fate down to gd or a single point again.
  18. No chance he'd still be here! I've a feeling he'll be pushing for a move away in the summer regardles of what league we are in
  19. Well my mind seems to have blanked that out 😂 It's still the away end for me though and if the away fans can fill it it, then give it all to them. The onus is on the home fans to shout them down from every other stand. I dont remember tim flowers, Friedel, Robinson ever complaining! If anything i vaguely remember ocasions when they enjoyed the banter with the away fans behind them. It should push the player to raise their game! Not bottle it like an amatures
  20. When was that, i don't really remember it? I remember the odd game later in the walker trust years where they'd open the darwen end lower tier to rovers fans when they weren't expecting many away fans. Personally didn't like it, just felt wrong to me sitting in what I'd always known as the away end.
  21. I can't imagine many of the current first team sticking around for division 1. Thats partly the problem of why we are where we are, We've a team of players that couldn't really care less about the actual club and would jump ship the minute an offer from a club offering more money and a touch of ambition came forward Maybe Telavovic might have something to offer in div 1 🤷‍♂️
  22. I really have to agree with the chaddertron on this one(😬😬)
  23. I really don't understand the complaints about the away fans filling out the darwen end! Fair play to them i say!! In my lifetime(admittedly that's just from the very beginning of the Jack walker era onwards) the darwen end has always been the away supporters end🤷‍♂️ apart from occasional periods (mainly under the Vs) where sections have been made available to rovers fans to It's sad that we no longer get close to filling out the other 3 stands and yes that is mostly down to the Venkys gutting the heart out of the club and waggot continually looking for ways to extort rovers fans One problem i do see at ewood is that rovers fans themselves are very fragmented(not sure that's the right word😅) on matchdays. It's like the blackburn end, JW and riverside supporters are all singing from a different song sheet. They annoyed me at the time but maybe we should get the drummers back in the blackburn end to get us all in sync 😄
