One key thing that JDT said numerous times when he joined was basically that 'he wanted us to play attacking possession based football, BUT that the possession had to have some real intent to it and not just be knocking the ball about aimlessly in our own half just for the sake of it' Just not what we're seeing though at all! 😞 i wouldn't even say we're playing attacking football of any kind judge by our average shots on target per game... He inherited a squad mostly full of mid table championship players and with no real experienced quality pros aside from Ayala. Our summer transfer window was lame aside from Hyam and Brittain(although brittain still has a lot to prove)

So it's nice to see he's still doing what he loves though, im sure he could have retired and lived a life of luxury a long time ago (same as with MGP)

One more performance like that and the manger/head coach really will need to take it riggt back to basics tactically, because our current players just don't have the ability or intelligence to play clever tactics and strategies. But If Tomasson just keeps trying to flog a dead horse and shows no willingness to try a different aproach... Then more fool him sadly 😔. He's going to break lots of hearts at this rate 💔😢

Spineless team apart from Ayala, S Wharton & Hyam i wouldn't want to go to war with any others in the squad, they'd all surrender at the first sound of gunfire. We haven't a single senior centre midfielder in the whole squad that you can rely on consistently for anything

Why is Tomasson making the same mistakes as Mowbray!? Ie. Drastically changing winning formations and starting 11s, TRYING to be to clever tactically (when "clever tactics" really aren't necessary in this league!) So bloody frustrating. That said! Some of the childish drama queen comments above are just embarrassing.

Bent must clearly have been as much as a head case when he was a player as he has been in "retirement" just google his post football career shenanigans! Have to show him some empathy it does seem he's had long standing mental health issues which he's been self medicating for with alcohol & cocaine

Brilliant shot stopper but i remember him getting criticism for being a fairly quiet keeper and not organising his defenders well enough, Alan Kelly then came in as competition for him... Kelly was the opposite, all mouth but a very very average keeper... Friedel followed those 2 and the rest is history

Actually yeh i think Frandsen was brought in just before Souness came, i think frandsen had scored a lot of goals in the championship the season before, so he came highly regarded, but did very little for us, think possibly berkovic came in and claimed that attacking mid role (or have i got the wrong season again🤔😅)

Hignett scoref the odd goal for us but was mostly just another gobby scouser that liked to point

I always remember some of the players Souness brought in when he arrived and paid relatively large sums for in the championship that came with a lot of hype but went on to be pretty average at best for us (I'm thinking per frandsen, craig hignett and a few other squad players) but in the end it was mainly our home grown players that got us promoted

On paper theres just no real natural creativity in that squad aside from Hedges who is being played way out of position, when you see all the players available to him in the squad I'm just not seeing much logic in JDTs team selections and its getting harder to defend! (cant argue with the back 3 though, although you could argue we're better with a back 4)

Damn the new Jef Dalmer show on netflix is a tough watch(as you should expect i suppose) even though so far at 4 eps in it's really not been very graphic at all I've been a fan of the actor Evan Peters for a while, just so versatile and charismatic even though he doesn't particularly look like your average Holywood leading man, he's obviously played dark roles before on the "American horror show" but usually a bit tongue in cheek on there, with this he's just as dark and bleak as they come though. Definitely not a show for everyone! But it is very well made and acted, it also gives you a very uncomfortable insight into the mind of one of the sickest serial killers ever
