The Cup match vs United: I was in church when Danny scored, gametracking it. Much to my wife’s chagrin, I fistpumped. Mourinho had to put in Zlatan & Pogba to get a win that day, about the last happy moment of the season before dropping to League 1. I also remember beating Newcastle both times, by identical 1-0 scores. Both goals by Charlie Mulgrew. (Had to check this, I initially thought Duffy, it was Mulgrew. What a great penalty shot taker Mulgrew was!)

I went to the store, after a rousing 10 holes of disc golf. Pregame meal will be an open-face chili cheeseburger & beer. 🍻

I try to stay positive, & think we can compete in the Cup, without falling down vs ShefU. I expect Tomasson to pick a strong side. We could pull off a big shocker, ala, the West Ham game. Rodgers has underachieved greatly, in my book. He has a good roster of players, should be at least top 8 in PL. I think he uses this game to motivate his players, spur them on down the backstretch of the schedule, so maybe 2-3 younger players in his 11. My key word is “could”. I love our defensive efforts of late, sadly, I think this one might be asking too much, 3-1.
