Remaining fixtures - Predictions
Displaced Rover replied to Sweaty Gussets's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
There's no a chance we only lose one more between now and end of the season. It's easy to look at this league on paper and think you should win most games but it just doesn't work like that - see getting pumped off PNE and Rotherham of all teams... -
New to the Club

Welcome! Always good to have more people padding the somewhat reduced numbers of late! JWU is best view in the stadium, BBE is better in your youth/when there's a good atmosphere. Season tickets for next season will probably be announced and on sale sometime in September... Final point worth noting, as a rule, we prefer "Rovers" not "Blackburn" -
and it’s our right to tell you to fuck off…

It’s absolutely mad to be in March whilst winning games and going up the table. Not been used to it under the dour tosser -

Superb performance. Fantastic it’s against such a horrible club as well. Nothing to fear for rest of the season -

The standard of officiating in this league it a complete disgrace. -

Snap your hand off for a draw right now. In others news, fuck knows why they’re allowed a towel. It’s our ground, stuff left at the side of it should be collected and chucked in the bin. -
It’s just a bit “meh”. Home against anyone or “big” side away would’ve been more exciting. That said 90 mins against a team from our own division away from a game at Wembley. You’d take that at the start of a cup run wouldn’t you.

It’s a shit ground, no atmosphere, stupid mingling behind the away stand and we get beat whenever I go
-
Fulham is the one I most want to avoid. Be alright with anything else. Fulham are just such a nothing club, boring tie, played them loads and almost certain we’d get beat.

Probably best to ignore that lot, it's like they're speaking another language. To be fair I tend to also ignore the couple on here who have managed to learn English.

Premier League 22-23

A trophy is a trophy. Don’t think you should ever criticise the way it’s celebrated, regardless of their modern history. -

If there could be a power failure and neither side is awarded the trophy that would be my preferred outcome. That said, enjoying seeing Newcastle fans looking devastated… -
v QPR (a) - 25/2/23

Can I just say, 50 career goals at the age of 27 is insane and I'm not sure why it's being celebrated by the club in respect of someone who is supposed to be a centre forward? This is a man who has half a season of Premier League appearances from nearly 10 years ago... Maybe if he was a midfielder I could get on board. -
Championship - 22-23

Ventured on to a Sunderland forum for a look at the feeling. It’s absolutely fucking superb. Threads on the “death spiral” that they’ve heard about from both us and Coventry. Then arguments over whether it’s his fault or lack of transfer activity. -
Fans holding players to different standards based on their own agenda. If someone like Morton, Pears, Gallagher had been out injured and off watching Arsenal/City rather than at the Rovers game they'd be getting absolute pelters. As it is, Adam Wharton gets a free pass because he ("allegedly" - based on the other night) supports Rovers

Random aside but why is Adam Wharton sat in the away end at the Emirates (according to Instagram) rather than watching his team mates?! Has the relationship with JDT soured so badly? -
Read through it at the weekend. Fantastic issue! Was a really great period to be a Rovers fan (especially as I was 6 years old in 1995), this to me was by far the best time I've had watching Rovers. One thing (unless I missed it - which is entirely possible) but there was a section on the Andy Todd elbow smash FA Cup semi final but not the "OMG how did you miss that MGP" FA cup semi final? A high point of the decade for me in glorious failure.
