I feeI very confident about tonight. Think it’s the fact that Richie Smallwood is deemed good enough to start in their midfield, therefore they must be shit -
January Transfer window 2022

So many comments about Ryan Nyambe in here it boggles the mind. Would I prefer to keep him - yes. Will I be particularly upset if he leaves - no, he’s incredibly replaceable. There’s people in this thread so clouded by him being an academy grad. He’s a fairly average full back, who doesn’t really offer much going forward. Wouldn’t imagine he’d crack our top 50 right backs of all time. -

That's hardly high fucking praise is it? May as well read "Ryan Nyambe, not as shit as the other dross we've had over the last 10 years...." I'd take £3m immediately for a player who doesn't want to be here. -
21 Years since our League Cup win in 2002

Thoughts: Was a super day (weather aside!). I really enjoyed the drive home listening to disgruntled Spurs fans on the phone ins. Definite penalty for NEJ tackle on Sheringham late on. Sad that Tugay and Flitcroft both suspended, but still we got to see the mighty Yordi (sp?) make his debut... As others have said, I'd always want a cup run from Rovers. However, poorly mismanaged we have been (and may well continue to be), no one can take our memories. -
Championship 21/22

It’s genuinely surreal at the moment. Although I’ve had the hope beaten out of me to the extent I can’t help but assume the death spiral is on the way, except this one will hurt much more ha ha -
Biggest footballing joy next year

Rovers by a country mile. I like watching England and seeing us do well of course. It’s just not in the same sphere as watching the Rovers. -
Football Terminology
Displaced Rover replied to roversfan99's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I genuinely don't understand why this riles people up so much. Who cares what pundits (the vast majority of whom spout shite regardless of terminology used) call things? It makes no odds to watching a game of football and appreciating good play. -

It’s a crap league isn’t it? Tiny bit of quality, confidence and some consistency in team selection can take you far as we’re seeing at the moment. -
Premier League season 21/22

This is why an LBO doesn’t work for a low end Premier League club. Being able to service the debt is contingent on that TV income stream. Be carnage if they go down. -

Indeed. I've seen many of his posts. My point was fairly tongue in cheek but still stands, I might be "salty" but I barely post on here, let alone be bothered/care enough about them to go and see what our six fingered friends have to say... -

Everyone has their issues don't they? I'm "salty" and your mob are still so obsessed with Rovers (despite being in the league above) that you're coming on this board to see what we're saying about your super modern stadium and infrastructure... Hope you get better soon though, wouldn't wish Covid-19 on any dingle! -

Have Southampton not learned their lesson about signing prolific Championship strikers from Rovers? 😂 -

What a pointless comment. Only purpose to try and get a rise… Yes, we’ve had a few good results recently but it doesn’t paper over the fact we had our worst ever home defeat 4 weeks ago (in the second division no less) and we’ve been woefully mismanaged for over 10 years. -

This is why people should stop venerating all the so called "ITK" posters on here. I reckon less than 10% of the bollocks that gets spouted ends up being true and yet people hang on their every word, which is incidentally exactly why they do it. -
Overtaking some genuine greats of the game (Greaves/Lineker) by scoring against a pub side. There should be pre qualifying below a certain world ranking threshold.

2022 Qatar World Cup

World Cup doesn't finish until 18th December. Guess Brereton will miss another two weeks as he fires Chile to glory... -
Missed a zero off? Tickets are £400 arent they? £3.2m is hardly a drop in the ocean, it's around 20% of annual revenue (based on 2019 stat accounts - pre Covid). At the end of the day, without going to ludicrous levels, I'm just not sure the demand is there at the moment. To make £3.2m at say £300 (£13 a game!), they'd have to sell another 2,667. Admittedly, there would be additional match day revenues from bigger crowds, but I just don't see the demand being there whilst we languish in mid table with the Venkys and Mowbray in charge.

Tony Mowbray Discussion
Displaced Rover replied to Neal's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I don’t frequently go in the Premier Suite at Rovers. I’ve been in at the invitation of clients on a couple of occasions but I don’t really enjoy watching my club in that way. I’ve spent plenty of time watching Spurs in corporate hospitality during my time in London, and I can honestly say Daniel Levy never did the rounds to tell us whether he was planning on binning the manager…. -

Well we’ll see with the passing of time won’t we 👍 Not seen many recently that have “come in”. -

Why do people buy all this shit about people talking to Waggott? The CEO isn’t going around telling people that he’s about to fire the manager if we don’t win. There’s also less than zero chance that Rothwell stays. He’s clearly going to Rangers. Dunno why people lap up these “ITKs” I can’t remember any recently on here that turned out to be correct. -
Just got back. As I said in my comment at half time, there’s a lot of shit in this league (aside from top 3). We were great going forward today. Diaz, Poveda, Khadra all superb. Special mention to Buckley who I thought was fantastic. Defensively thought we were very poor though. Wharton (understandably) off the pace and felt that Edun was very exposed, although he did well going forward. As ever in the Championship, the refereeing was atrocious. Really think the EFL should focus on that. Good atmosphere, probably aided by the early goal. Still don’t think we’re going anywhere with Mowbray in charge and I fear he might get another contract.

This game just reaffirms my believe that why semi competent manager would get us in the play offs. These are shite, as are all teams outside the top 3. Dont think much of United’s support, Coventry were much louder. Mowbray really does get a free pass though, not sure what he’d have to do to truly get fans on his back.
