  1. There's something I can't grasp about this pre-season. Anyone help. All players are under contract until June 30th 2022, yet can agree deals with other teams - Lenihan to 'boro - to commence on July 1st. Players are back in on the 13th June, so shouldn't all outgoing players (Nymabe specifically) be expected at Brockhall on Monday? Is Lenihan even allowed to train with Middlesbrough before his Rovers deal expires - since we're still paying him?
  2. On William Hill - just search "Blackburn". Have us at 7/1 straight up for Relegation.
  3. Rothwell (£0), Lenihan (£0), Nyambe (£0), Van Hecke (£0), Khadra (£0). So we're now needing to replace FIVE starters from last season with a grand total of... fuck all money incoming. We don't have a starting quality RB, CB2 or CM to go with Travis, Brereton is nailed on to leave, pre season starts in days, oh, and we have no manager. Anybody got a quid?
  4. Not sure about him tbh, I heard he had a bit of an Edge about him. Not the easiest to get along with, and would be on a whale of a salary too, I'd guess. Sorry Now back to Norwegian managers who may or may not be on our new DOF's Xmas card list.
  5. Judging off my current FM22 save - Kjetil Knutsen: Crystal Palace: 1/24 - 11/24 (sacked after Premiership relegation - 20th) Barnsley: 2/25 - 11/25 (sacked after Championship relegation) Southend: (L1) manager for 11 months since Jan 2028 (17th finish, currently 18th.) Sounds like a flop to me! 👀🤣😎
  6. So an actual Venky, who has buzzed about Rovers for 11 years since he was a child, now wants to come and be active at the club - is a bad thing? If we got a competent manager in (Farke, Carvahal and Nuno are three), and a DoF, plus maybe even a Waggo replacement, AND we have a Venky who can actually sanction trades - that must be a strength. Look at all the Bosman players we NEVER sign because smart signings are about timing more than finances. (I could make a list!) At worst, Jadgish will come in and be like a kid on christmas who wants everything and every player suggested - but assuming we're being ran smart elsewhere (CEO, DoF, Manager) and not being fleeced by Jerome Anderson, we might actually tie players down to contracts, sign good players before deadline day and actually have a proper January transfer window without loaning LWBs to play RF. Or, he's as shit as the rest of them and this it the final hail mary before the Venky's sell/give up.
  7. They would get you close to 30 a season - bookings that is. Would have to play 4-2-3-1 with that pair.
  8. Heard a name to watch out for this summer (granted I'm not sure how this can even be possible with no manager), and one who will certainly divide opinion... Ben Pearson.
  9. At Rovers, Bradley Johnson has a better goals to game ratio than Joe Rothwell.
  10. Tayo Edun is fucking dogshit. Sorry, but he's woefully short of CH level.
  11. If they can move so quickly to replace Mowbray now, begs the question why they couldn't move so decisively 2 months ago when we actually would have made the playoffs with Farke. Even more so when the whole world (that paid any kind of attention) knew we'd end up out of thr playoffs come May.
  12. The way I see it is we've been staring at the same pile of turd for the best part of 5 years... it has gone very stale, very cold, and VERY boring. I'm just relieved to be able to stare at a new fresher pile of turd next season. Warm the fans up a little. Who knows, maybe it'll even turn out to be horse (turd), which has actual long term benefits.
  13. How? Considering the current team with Lenihan, Van Hecke, Nyambe, Rothwell, Brereton-Diaz and Khadra is going to finish 9th or 10th
  14. Current (best/likely) opening day XI/bench for next season. Kaminski Brown - Ayala - Wharton - Pickering Travis - Buckley Hedges - Dack - Markanday Gallagher Subs: Dolan, JRC, Carter, Phillips, Edun, Butterworth, Pears Woof. Journey. Bottom 8 fodder.
  15. 💭 Mowbray: 💭 "These owners don't have a clue what's going on, but they might be watching on Saturday... Hmmmm, I'm going to get crucified on Saturday by the fans if we slip up. Bournemouth are scary. What if... what if I let slip a "woe is me" presser on Thursday, and get the fans off my back thinking I'm leaving. Yeah, they might go easy on me and even cheer. We won't make the playoffs, I won't allow it, those bright lights of the Premiership scare me, plus I can only loan 2 players from Pepé and Jurgs up there. Yeahhhh.... Maybe with that support on Saturday we might even win, the fans chant my name, call me their King. Hell, maybe I get my own lap of honour and the crowd give me a standing ovation out of the stadium. What a hero I'll be for reminding them all I got us promoted 4 years ago (with the biggest L1 budget of all time!) Venkys will see this, think im beloved by all.... That'll get me a new 3 year contract for sure." Don't be fooled just yet!!!
  16. He should have announced he was stepping down publicly 1 month ago then. As much as I hate losing, pissing awya a rock solid playoff place, and being bottom of the half season form guide, I'm fucking petrified that we win the next 3 games - not get promoted - and then that cockroach gets an extension. If he was to announce his departure now, he/the team would have 100% "support" from the stands over the next 3 (probably ultimately pointless) games. If he doesn't, then he might want to bring ear defenders vs PNE and Bournemouth especially.
  17. Mowbray has pissed me off today in so many ways already: 5 at the back, 2CDM's and a False 9, at home, in a must win game, vs a team (mid-table) with basically nothing to play for. Concede after 3 minutes and is too stubborn to change. But the worst thing: He leaves the touchline at 46:30 in the first half so he isn't there for the boos HE deserves. Self preservation at its fucking finest. Forget a dinosaur, the man is a damn cockroach!
  18. Fact is Edun was MILES off the pace and was playing out of position. He is 100% responsible for his own DUMB decision. Referees are crap, we know that. But (as always) the blame is on that twerp in the fucking silk shirt on the sideline! Back 5, left back in midfield vs a team that are currently 1 point off mathematical relegation. Fuck off Tony.
  19. We can enjoy this, at least until 2pm rolls around and we see our "Managers" starting XI. And then come 5pm when we're non-victorious against L1 Peterborough, we can return to hating our own club!
  20. Dyche would walk in to the managers office, look at the tactic board to see a back 5, with Brereton and Gallagher flanking a false 9... and burn the room to the ground.
