It might have helped us to take those chances if our top two goal scorers had played. Instead the front 3 consisted of Armstrong 4 League goals, Conway 0 League goals and Brereton 0 league goals. Whereas on the bench we had Dack 11 League goals and Graham 10 League goals. Do you not think if one or both of those had been selected that we would have been far more likely to take one of those chances?

Top scorer in the League and a damn sight better than anything that you have up front.
-
Not really much of a defence considering Smallwood normally plays in there and he rarely finds a Rovers shirt.
-
Because he has to shoehorn Bennett into the team somewhere.
-
How many goals will Brereton score this season?

One things for sure he won't get many better chances that the one he missed tonight. -
It looked an awful team pre match and so it proved to be, the team was an insult to the travelling fans. He showed Reading far too much respect they are down the bottom for a reason. His favourites like Conway, Bennett, Smallwood aren't up to standard and his handling of some of our younger players particularly Rothwell and Nyambe has been poor. His negligence in the transfer market cost us dearly tonight as it showed how little strength in depth we have, January showed his lack of ambition. I said it first of all after the Leeds game and I still believe it that he has taken the club as far as he can and I think it is time for a change.

Reading 1 win in 15 yet Mowbray lined up as though they have only lost 1 in 15. He's shown (not for the first time) far too much respect to a very poor side and tonight it has cost us.
-
Rodwell showing there that he isn't a centre back. You can't back off your man on the edge of the area and let him shoot.
-
SAKE!
-
Lovely ball and assist from Rothwell. It's criminal that a player of his ability has only started 5 games this season.
-
Raya again in all sorts of trouble from a cross.
-
Nice to see Graham, Dack, Armstrong and Rothwell all on the pitch together. Just a shame it has taken a dreadful and negative performance against this shower for it to happen.
-
Bell's crossing like his defending is pathetic.
-
Conway off at last, though how he got 73 minutes is beyond me.
-
Rothwell with one run and pass has done more in a minute than Conway has in 70.
-
For Christ Sake Mowbray get Conway off!
-
Awful defending from Mulgrew there just let his man run off.
-
Got to feel for the lad his confidence must be pretty low seeing old man Conway plodding around ahead of him.
-
Only ways I can see us scoring are either some magic from Dack or from a set piece.
-
Great chance for Brereton but in the end an awful effort.
-
Two of my biggest criticisms of Mowbray are what he says and what he does tend to be two different things and that his handling of young players isn't very good.
-
If you he selected his top two goal scorers or even just one of them then maybe we would have scored one of them.
-
Get Dack, Graham and Rothwell on at half time and this game is still here to be won Reading look dire.
-
Pathetic defending from Bell, half hearted as usual.
-
Constant tinkering between Williams and Bell at Left Back, yet Bennett (who everyone can see isn't a right back) keeps getting picked ahead of one of our brightest young prospects in Nyambe and seriously Conway over Rothwell, a disgraceful decision. Mowbray talks about building for the future but the likes of Nyambe and Rothwell are the future whereas the likes of Conway and Bennett are past their best.
