  1. I don't know what makes you so sure of that Chaddy, considering he couldn't even make the bench yesterday. Also Williams will be back on Saturday and if Mowbray drops one of Rodwell or Mulgrew I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Williams come in.
  2. Mowbray keeps saying that he won't be afraid to give young players a chance but again it is another case Tony saying one thing and doing another. Again yesterday we went with no defenders on the bench. Given the impact and hunger that Travis brought to the team when given his chance (although he has been dragged down by the rest since) I'd like to see a few more youngsters with the hunger and determination to do well given a chance, as we are currently very stale, predictable and with too many players in a comfort zone.
  3. What does Elliott Bennett need to do to get dropped? Mowbray's constant selecting of him is baffling he's bang average on a good day. Say's it all that we still haven't won a game when conceding the first goal. For me the team spirit is a myth peddled by Mowbray to use as an excuse for staying loyal to last seasons players rather than strengthening.
  4. I'm not comparing him with Kean I am just saying that we saw no matter how many times you tinker with the backroom staff if the manager isn't up to the job then it won't make any difference. If you want a fresh face and new ideas then get a new manager.
  5. This is a football club not a charity. The managers job is to decide who he thinks can make the step up and who can't, instead of giving them new contracts and a chance to prove themselves.
  6. Its no good changing the back room staff if the manager isn't up to the job, we learnt that with Kean.
  7. If Rodwell is going to play centre back then he has to play as one of 3 centre backs, he's not good enough to play as one of 2 but could be very effective in a 3. Sadly we can't play a 3 at the moment as we only have 3 centre backs at the club (due to the managers decisions in January) and one of them is injured. Personally I'd like to see him have a few games in midfield, he's shown that on the ball he has a lot of quality (which we lack) and if you play Travis or Reed alongside him they will cover plenty of ground.
  8. Are the Rotherham or Barnsley manager and CEO constantly moaning about attendances though? If Rovers want to charge a surcharge then that is up to them but then don't constantly come out moaning about attendances when things like that make it harder for some to attend.
  9. Leutwiler Nyambe Rodwell Mulgrew Bell Evans Reed Armstrong Dack Rothwell Graham Subs: Raya, Magloire, Smallwood, Travis, Bennett, Chapman, Nuttall If we turn up with the right attitude then I think we will win. If we turn up expecting to win like we did at home to Rotherham then we may well come unstuck again.
  10. I disagree that they have a lot of talent in that side ter-stegen is fantastic, Busquets is very good as is Alba due to is on field fantastic relationship with Messi. Other than that it was as poor a Barca side as there has been for a long time last season to many players past their best or not good enough for Barca in the first place. Take Messi's 34 League goals and 12 assists out of that Barca team from last season they would have been 3rd at best. This season they have improved slightly due to the signing of Arthur and due to Dembele settling but again without Messi they would be at best 3rd.
  11. Friedel Newton Nelsen England Le Saux Douglas Clayton Tugay Duff Shearer Cole Subs: Flowers, Hendry, Berg, Sherwood, Bentley, McCarthy, Bellamy
  12. And he didn't play in that League loss. Taking that Barcelona side of last season to the league title was in my opinion the greatest achievement of Messi's career as if you took him out of it they would have been in a battle to make top 4.
  13. I don't know who you are talking about but I'm talking about Samuel and he played a lot more than 9 games last season.
  14. He's an attacker who despite playing for one of the best teams in League 1 last season didn't score after November.
  15. Every time I've seen Derby on TV this season they have looked very very average at best. That they are 7th in the table just shows how poor in terms of quality this league is.
  16. Perhaps he’s finally found his level.
  17. It's comes across as very bitter and classless especially after he has just scored 2 goals against us. Che Adams is none of Mowbray's business anyway and if I was him I'd be focusing on the weaknesses of his own squad rather than those of a player who is better than anyone in our entire squad.
  18. Very classless and bitter comments from Mowbray regarding Che Adams, he'd be better of focusing on his own team rather than something that has nothing to do with him. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/rival-boss-said-che-adams-15877735 Some classic Mowbray nonsense spoken in here about Raya for the second goal. He says 'David has found some form in recent weeks, the last disappointment was the goal Bristol City scored where I thought he could have affected the corner kick'. The Bristol game was two games, I'm not sure that one decent game against Middlesbrough constitutes finding form in recent weeks. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17457039.i-dont-want-to-point-fingers-rovers-boss-on-keeper/
  19. Not quite the lovely club that they make out to be when the cameras are on them. https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/news/bristol-news/volunteer-run-clevedon-town-football-2567837
  20. Another example of Tony saying one thing but doing another today. Before the Reading game he said 'If we get to a situation, through injuries, where we have to play some of the youngsters then I'm more than happy to do that'. Yet today rather than put a young defender on the bench we ended up with no defenders on the bench. With Armstrong and Rothwell on the bench did we really need a 33 year old Conway on there (who shouldn't be here next season). And Mowbray will be sacked one day as well, that is the nature of football. My point was that we may not have gone down in the first place under Bowyer as unlike Mowbray when he first came in he was able to keep the club up.
  21. We will never know that as Bowyer never took us down.
  22. And a manager that signs some players in January.
  23. 34 games into the season and its the same problem that was there on the first day of the season. Mowbray clearly can't sort it out and until we do we won't progress forward, that is why we need a change in manager.
  24. I'll be there but I highly doubt there will be any increase in the usual 12000 or so fans that we have for home games. It may be a massive game for you but for the fan who doesn't go every week they will probably look at it see a game between two mid table side with the cheapest ticket £24 and decide not to bother, particularly with the hassle of a 12:00 kick off. If you think we will get more than usual then fair enough but I certainly do not need somebody like you telling me whether or not live football is for me.
  25. So you think a 12:00 Saturday kick off between two teams with nothing to play for, with the cheapest ticket at £24 is going to see an increase in attendance?
