  1. Only Southgate could have this squad and be bemoaning the lose of Kalvin Phillips. It sums up his mindset as a manager.
  2. If you are a Denmark fan or player you would be absolutely delighted to see Harry Kane being taken off.
  3. The ending there sums England's performance up no urgency, passing the ball backwards with second's to go rather than putting it in the box. The ref was probably England's best performer
  4. What a sensational tournament this has been so far. Great to see so many sides playing such exciting football
  5. The speed of the semi automated VAR is brilliant. If that offside happened in the Premier League there would have been a good 5 minute wait whilst some halfwit at Stockley Park guesses where to draw some lines.
  6. I once watched Brian Langford bowl 8 Overs 8 Maidens for Somerset against Essex in the John Player League.
  7. I wonder how much ITV are paying this Yankee woman to state the bleeding obvious and tell us what we have already seen.
  8. Lucky draws. Every time he plays a good side in a tournament he loses. If Sven had the luck that Southgate has had he would have achieved similar results if not better.
  9. The problem is they are all chummy with Southgate.
  10. Those results today have certainly made Group E very interesting. Looking like Ukraine have been bombed out already with Slovakia winning and their own goal difference taking a bit of a hammering.
  11. I didn't see the game last night but by all accounts Foden was very quiet again, 30 plus caps for England and I struggle to think of any stand out performance from him. Also in Bellingham we have arguably the best player in the world who scored the winner last night, why on earth would you move him from his best position and waste his talent.
  12. That is a Norman sized choke from Rory far worse than St Andrews 22 or LACC last year. He looked a different player after the birdie on 13 to take the lead. The missed putts on 16 and 18 were inexcusable. But also the decisions off the tee on 15 and 18, I've never been convinced about Harry Diamond as his caddy and that only raises my doubts even more. I hate to say it but I just cannot see him winning another major, if he's going to then he is either going to need to spread eagle the field like he did at Congressional all those years ago and I don't think he has the game to do that anymore. Or he will need go out early on in the final round and shot a low score to post the clubhouse lead a Johnny Miller US Open type win.
  13. It's amazing that anyone could have followed the club the last 14 years and after yet another quick, cheap rearranging of the deck chairs proclaim themselves 'absolutely delighted'. Wake Up!
  14. Staggered at the decision to leave Branthwaite out, he would not only be in my 26 but in my starting 11. Would love to know how Lewis Dunk continues to get picked, he has had a very average season with Brighton and has never performed in an England shirt.
  15. At least they sold their star to Borussia Dortmund we sold ours to bloody Crystal Palace.
  16. Good luck to the lad but I really don't understand all the hysteria from Rovers fans and the club over him, he has left us. And that such a talent had to leave us so quickly to progress his career at the might of Crystal Palace is not something the club should be proud of but rather ashamed of.
  17. Our academy has just become a useful cheaper to fill the squad as standards have dropped at the club. Since we've been relegated from the Premier League how many players have come through our academy and gone on to play in the Premier League? Wharton is the only one I can think of off the top of my head. With the exception of Wharton all that has come through in the last decade have been average Championship players at best.
  18. Because under these owners in it impossible to get a proper football structure in place. It is like rearranging the deck chairs on The Titanic.
  19. He got released before the season ended by a team that accumulated 27 points in this seasons Championship after getting 2 red cards in 7 appearances. And why did he only play 7 games because like he was for the majority of the time at Rovers he was injured.
  20. I'd say Sporting was surprising given they finished 4th last season. Whilst the others may not be surprising the sides that won have hardly dominated in recent years. Serie A has had 4 different winners in the last 5 seasons (including Napoli's 1st title in 33 years) and Holland and Portugal have had 3 different Champions in the last 3 seasons. Compare that with France where you have a state owned club winning 6 of the last 7 and the last 3 in a row and England where a state owned club have won 6 of the last 7 as well with the last 4 in succession.
  21. Dack had been out injured for 2 years basically and as he has shown since he is not a Championship level player (probably not even League 1 now sadly) and I think it is fair to say we found a better player in Szmodics. Ayala was injury prone, overpaid and well past his best as has been shown by the fact that the might of Rotherham released him this season. But Brereton was never going to sign a contract and be here beyond the end of it. And the decision to lose him for nothing rather than sold for a fee I suspect went above Broughton.
  22. Outside of their 3 wins against their fellow relegated club just 2 win from 34 games against the other 17 clubs. That really is shocking especially when you consider what they spent.
  23. Which was what exactly? Five players were on loan and went back to their parent clubs, the club captain went on a free along with two other regular starters and the biggest asset at the club had one year left on his contract and was clearly not going to sign a new one. I don't think Broughton did a great job (far from it in fact) but let's not pretend that he inherited anything special. The first team players we had when he came in were. Kaminski Pears Carter Ayala S.Wharton Pickering A. Wharton (Was yet to play for first team) Buckley JRC Travis Hedges Edun Dack Brereton Gallagher Dolan Vale
