They completely bullied Bournemouth in the first half through a combination of power and fast attacking football then in the 2nd half they saw the game out comfortably. They have also improved defensively from what I saw of them earlier in the season. Also I don't think at the moment there is a better all round striker in the Championship than Lucas Joao. He's playing like a Championship Drogba this season.

Bennett to Shrewsbury would work out ideal for all parties. Bennett is from Shropshire and don't know if he still does but certainly used to still live in the area. Shrewsbury are a mid table League 1 side and get an experienced player who's level is about that now. And Rovers get what will be a decent wage of the wage bill by getting rid of a player who isn't good enough.

And after his first bad performance Dolan was dropped to the bench where he has remained ever since. Dolan like Chapman will end up a victim of Mowbray's bizarre use of wide players.

Got his chances? The lad never started a game. He has had 12 sub appearances in 2 years the longest he got given on the pitch was 25 minutes. His amount of game time in the League in his 2 years since signing is just 196 minutes (so just over two full games). Compare that with the amount of chances and sub standard performances we have seen from the likes of Buckley and Brereton over the same time.

Norwich, Brentford and Swansea will all be top 6. Reading at the start of the season I thought would fade away but every time I have seen them they look a very good side. They played Bournemouth of the park on Friday, yes Bournemouth are struggling but they are still a decent side and not many side will beat them as comfortably as Reading did. The two in the current top 6 that I think would fall out if any do are Watford and Bournemouth. Watford are a funny club and you never know what you are going to get from them. In a way they remind me of us on the pitch in that I don't think as a team they are very impressive but they have individuals that have the quality to win them games they don't deserve to win and I'd expect that they have enough individual quality to keep themselves in the top 6. Bournemouth are certainly the ones stuttering the most at the moment and I think the longer they stick with Tindall the more at risk they are of falling out of it. I wouldn't be at all surprised that now he has had a few months break if Eddie Howe is back there before the end of the season.

Can't see the current 6 occupants changing myself. The only one that you'd say we might catch is Bournemouth but if they are still struggling in a months time then you'd expect that they won't hesitate to make a change.

To be fair we played a team today who came with no real intent to try to attack and score until they went a goal down.

We will probably nick this game with a bit of individual brilliance from someone. But it has been another example of as a team how far of the top sides were are under this manager.

Since we have been back in the Championship in 59 first halves we have scored just 29 goals. How people can say we are good and exciting to watch is beyond me.

We scored 3 in the first half against Wycombe in the first home game of the season. Since then we have only mustered 3 home goals in the next 13 first halves at Ewood, the last one coming on December 2nd. But it's not surprising to anyone who watches us as we just seem to go through the paces, there is a real lack of any urgency to assert ourselves early on.

Ayala has been one of the best defenders in the Championship over the last 5 or 6 years, although he has not shown anything like that for us. But a 3 year contract was always going to be a big risk for someone with his injury record. For a player in his 30's with a bad injury record a 2 year deal should be the very maximum.

No chance of anyone buying Williams, he's out injured for the season and then out of contract in the summer.

Gallagher is a bench player, every time he had started this season (Brentford aside) he has put in some very poor performances. All his goals this season have come from the bench and he hasn't scored in a game he's started since last February.

Rotherham looked a decent side at Ewood and were in total control of the game until their manager made a couple of bad subs that let us back into the game.
