  1. Brighton seem to think he is the better player , and their judgement on players over the last few years has been just about the best around.
  2. The report states that it is a 50% uplift in income for the EFL. If the distribution of funds is retained in its present proportions that would suggest an increase in income of approx £4.5m for the club.
  3. The website whoscored.com has Pedro as comfortably the best player this season in the Championship. Brighton are not noted for getting it wrong in the transfer market.
  4. Given the wage differential, I suspect Adam Armstrong would be averse.
  5. I think it comes from people looking at the financial sustainability rules issued by UEFA which require clubs to initially reduce the costs of their squads to 90% of turnover and then to 70%. However as far as I can tell it has not yet been decided that they should apply to clubs in the EFL.
  6. Where does this walk take him to ? He's under contract for another couple of years so will cost the new club a fair few quid.
  7. He's had some backing; the signings of Brittain,Hyam and Szmodics will have cost in the region of £4.5m.
  8. I think he's suggesting PNE will throw the game to spite us. I think that is nonsense.
  9. That game has finished 2-2 so it is now back in our own hands.
  10. Sadly Sunderland have equalised so now we need to beat Luton.
  11. No - if Sunderland fail to win it is back in our own hands.
  12. I can't see JDT tolerating a player like that.
  13. Er no - but if players are kept on by management despite people here not rating them, maybe worth bearing in mind that they are maybe showing something which makes keeping them on to the age of 23 or so worthwhile.
  14. I think with Vale that the management might be impressed with his finishing. He has scored a lot at Under 21 level for us and for Wales, and the goals he scored in the Cups against West Ham and Norwich were what I would describe as assured finishes. It may be that in training that finishing ability really comes over.
  15. Substitute "JRC" for "Vale" and that comment could have been on here this time last year - and probably was.
  16. He was on loan last season at Scunthorpe - admittedly a poor side - but made little impression.
  17. You know that's not true - so why say it ?
  18. Getting it right - but the poster I responded to was blaming the referee. He was not to blame.
  19. The ref had 5 or 6 players between him and Barnes - he had no chance of seeing it.
  20. He took over Sunderland at the end of August when they had only played 5 games whereas he took over Rovers when there were only 15 games left. What, as mentioned on another thread, I think is known as Mowbray Derangement Syndrome. To describe 5 games in as "mid season" must be an acute state of that condition.
