  1. The 7-0 disaster has led to... Seven points in nine games. Fair enough, good response. Stoke away will be tougher as they're shithouses, but they aren't anything to be afraid of, that's for sure.
  2. Quite so! It'd be fantastic if we could be in 6th before shitting ourselves at the weekend rather than in 7th before shitting ourselves at the weekend...
  3. Not a lot of chance of that, he'll be in the shower by now... Right call by Mowbray. In fact, Mowbray has got his calls right today, credit where it's due. Johnson swapping in for Ayala has proven seamless, no disturbance. Keep him fresh for Stoke on Saturday, plus he was on a yellow... Butterworth on for Buckley. Him and Brereton I think have been our standout attacking players. Save him for Stoke, too.
  4. That was brainless from Ben. If he'd left it at moving the ball once, he'd have got away with it, but nudging it twice was taking the p.... Needless and worthless yellow card to pick up. Hope they don't build and he gets another suspension (like cost Chile).
  5. Pickering!!!! Excellent header! Fantastic cross by Buckley, perfectly weighted. Well-worked goal. 1-0! Come on lads!
  6. Proof that Rovers fans have the BRFC they deserve...also shows that those who think Ewood will ever turn on Mowbray are deluded. Most are happy with Mowbray and happy with Venky's. No, I don't get it either, but ah...what you gonna do?!?
  7. Here's a question for the "they're just misadvised" brigade... If they're pumping in £20m a year of their own money...then why do we have £200 million debt? Hence why we don't want them to leave?!? Surely it's coming from their own funds? So we should have no debt? So which is it? It can't be both?
  8. There'd be far more scrutiny in the PL. Nothing whatsoever baffling about it...
  9. It's nothing new under the sun. We had it under Sam when many wanted him gone despite digging us out of a relegation dogfight and guiding us to tenth in his one full season here. Many were happy when he was sacked. Many were happy with Kean initially, especially after we beat Liverpool. More entertaining football tended to be cited as the reason.
  10. Some excellent posts over the past few pages which highlight the most logical reasons why we have the owners we do, plus also who makes the decisions. We've gone from a mostly-solvent club in the top flight to a club a division down losing £20million a year (unlike most clubs in the division) yet we have ever depreciating assets and ever-stripped-down resources. Isn't downsizing supposed to save money? Where exactly is all the cash going to? How much ends up in the hands of a certain agency? What fees do we pay? And so on... Venky's had never heard of us before and never shown since that they either give a crap or they are necessarily the ones making most of the decisions. What fun do they get in a club they've barely ever visited? Why always go through the same agency for managers? Why reject any attempts to buy them out? All we get is cod philosophy about the way things are done in India about losing face meaning they're happy to lose £20 million a year forever (codswallop), how some imaginary pals of theirs in Pune might laugh at them (as if they've even heard of Rovers, ffs!) and, the classic, how the poor little noble Venkys're just being badly advised (for 11 years and counting now)... The clearest reason Venky's own Rovers is because it's working for them, perhaps also to their purpose for buying and why they did so in the first place. They were introduced to Rovers by Jerome Anderson. Why has the rationale changed since? Hardly a conspiracy theory; those are when more plausible alternatives are rejected. It's the most plausible reason we have. Mowbray Out? I agree of course, but...ultimately what for? To rinse and repeat with next Kean/Coyle/Mowbray? Hardly likely to be a Brave New World for us to contemplate, is it?!?! Expect his rants and agitations to end in a far more likely new contract than a sacking in the months to come...
  11. "Fit and proper" basically means; can they pay the bills? It's not some ethical test or anything, just financial. They're not getting the private detectives in or anything. Bit of a misnomer of a term, perhaps. "Financially sound as far as we know" might be a more realistic term!
  12. I reckon the only way BB is still at Rovers next season is if we're in the premier league by then. Decide for yourself the likelihood of that... Is there still no confirmation from the club of this one-year extension?
  13. If it's 0% they need running out of town. Forest pulled our pants down over that fee...£7million for an 18-year old. Why would we also allow them a sell-on clause when we're paying that kind of money? More likely it's just gossip being spread. Armstrong came to us for £1.7 million which means that the sell-on fee made sense. But for Brereton? You hope it's fake news, but then you're remember that we're owned by the Venkys...
  14. As in...Alisson? Ederson? Martinez? Some of the best keepers in the world are from South America.
  15. Chile 3 Venezuela 0 Cracking finish by BBD for the third. Enjoy him at Rovers while you can, folks...lad's a phenomenon!
  16. Not sure that's what the object of the exercise is under this lot.
  17. Mowbray dropped him the next game...we've seen what a confidence player he is since, just highlights his mismanagement during his time here. He plays under a new manager and suddenly he's Diazman!
  18. Disagree with your second sentence. He's been one of our best players since the first lockdown and 6 months ago he was still 21. However, IF we have the 12-month extension option then it's not a big deal. He's unlikely to be here next season, whatever!
