  1. As a Rovers fan abroad, I've paid £180 for my digital "season ticket" and this is the latest in the long line of shambles. Push back the kick off.
  2. Normally, there's nothing I like more than a cup run. However, with a smaller squad this year and being smack into promotion chase, if ever there was a time to depart at the first hurdle, this season was the time. Critical how we respond in our next game. We win that to keep our push going...nobody will remember the FA Cup then.
  3. Barnsley have been by some distance the worst side in the division this season, so a game at home to them should theoretically be the easiest game of the entire season. For that reason; I'll go for a 1-1 draw.
  4. Not sure why people think "the EFL" will do much. The EFL are the clubs themselves, it's not some independent rule-making authority. They'll do what's in the interests of the clubs, not some fans who made wasted journeys.
  5. The way he changes defence into attack in a matter of seconds through his burst of speed is something no other player offers, other than maybe Khedra but he's not even our player. If the contract offer is to take him in line with our highest-paid players, then fair enough. If not, it's a daft move on the part of the club as we'll lose him for nothing.
  6. Which means...the players want to be paid up there with the likes of Gallagher whereas the club wants to keep them close to the cheapest-paid squad members they currently are? Doubt any of them are expected to paid more than the likes of the higher-paid players...as Lenihan and Nyambe are nailed-on starters, and Rothwell really should be, then they can expect a big increase. They'll leave for nowt otherwise and we'll just end up paying more for a punt in the long run. Seems like compromise on both ends is the way to go, but Rovers have more to lose so need to be pushing it. The value of the players must be increasing with each game on this run...
  7. Absolutely ridiculous that we haven't pushed the boat out signed him up...when Rothwell's on song, we're on song. We're going places at the moment, time for Rovers to try and get Lenihan, Nyambe and Rothwell to sign new contracts. Does anyone know if we have a one-year option on Kaminski? It'll cost us a heck of a lot more to replace them if they leave for nowt!!!
  8. Fair enough. Whichever ground at Glasgow they won at though; this all still smells fishy.
  9. What were those comments? Don't remember, tbh. But yeah, even at 40 Brad was twice the keeper...
  10. Twas the same at Rovers with a much better manager in the somewhat more rotund shape of Sam Allardyce... A significant number of the fanbase never took to him and never would.
  11. So obviously a planted story to try and get the Venky's to get the mutli-year contract offered while his stock is high. Really is quite the turnaround from last season when he seemed as desperate as anyone for the chop and his contract paying off. Lazarus would have been impressed by his return from the depths! To be fair, hard to call being in 4th at this stage of the season anything other than a very good return.
  12. Plus...sacking him a week before a cup final? They won at Ibrox a couple of weeks ago...
  13. That'll be our promotion challenge coming to a swift end without even the need for a traditional death spiral...
  14. Very strange, Hibs sacking their experienced manager and with them safely ensconced in mid-table in the top flight... Sound familiar?
  15. I often disagree with you, but I think you're spot on here.
  16. To be fair, I bet Tosin's on a decent salary at Fulham. Nowt like the pittance we pay the likes of Nyambe.
  17. Two things can be true at the same time: 1. Mowbray should have been sacked before, especially in the second half of last season. He would have been at any other club. 2. Mowbray's had a very good start to this lesson. 7-0 drubbings and losing 2-0 leads aside, we sit fourth with a decent run of games coming up. Do I think this is our season to mount a promotion challenge? Nope, I suspect we'll go on a death spiral at some point and end up mid-table then no doubt lose some of our best players on frees when their contracts run out. However, as it stands right now we have to say it's gone well so far this season so credit where it's due. End of the day, we want the best for Rovers and if, somehow, Mowbray really has stumbled onto the way to do it, then let's just enjoy the ride. He's obviously going nowhere any time soon whatever is said on here anyway!
  18. Hang on...where's your evidence? You're demanding something of others you can't be bothered to provide yourself.
