  1. Probably not the best thing for a MOD to post.
  2. Totally agree. I'd love it too. But every time I see it attempted on other SM it amounts to nothing more than 'stop being negative'.
  3. Joey Benjamin: Former England bowler dies at the age of 60 | Cricket News | Sky Sports Not a household name but will be well known to cricket followers.
  4. Completely unreasonable. I saw quite a few mentions of Mowbray resting players who had played twice in the last 5 days. It was a very poor decision, hindsight or not. But we all know why he played and he isn't the first player to be poorly managed whilst injured by Mowbray.
  5. Fatigue is an apparsnt contributor to ACL injuries. Dack played 3 games in 6 days. Playing a handful of games in the last 15 months will not have prepared him for that. No amount of insults or childish suggestions of smear campaigns will change that. Mowbray didn't look after him, it's that simple.
  6. 'Be quiet'. LOL.OK tough guy. 3 games in 6 days. Poor management of the player and his welfare after such a long time out.
  7. I don't think that's fair. Some fans, due to age egc, might have trouble getting to the ground on their own. Some might enjoy the social aspect of meeting up on the coach with fellow Rovers fans. I think it's a good idea. Friendships are made of ideas like this!
  8. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6422960/ First two sentences. Fatigue may play a crucial role in ACL's.
  9. Mowbray has form for this. And the, stupid desperation cane from Mowbray, a man desperate to have his only goalscorer on the pitch after 2 good performances.
  10. 3 games in 6 days isn't cautious for someone who wasn't fully fit and who the manager said would need a full season before we saw the best of him.
  11. You're missing the key issue. Not every player is asked to play 3 games in 6 days. Nyambe isn't because of his Hamstring injuries. JRC wax rested last night for the same reason. Neither have been out for over a year. So, why was Dack asked to play 3 games in a week, meaning more stress on muscles, joints, ligaments etc? I think we all know the answer.
  12. I'd keep Rothwell and Nyambe if possible but I wouldn't offer a contract to any of the others who are due to leave at the end of the season. We've got Pickering to come in at LB but we'll need another. We need another CB. We are ok at RB if Nyambe stays for another year. In CM we have Dav, Trav, Bucko, Rothwell. We need a couple more. I don't think any of the other ones we currently have deserve another contract - Johnson, Holtby, Downing, Evans and Trybull have been for the most part disappointing. AA will leave I'd imagine. Dack may be out for a lot of next season. That leaves us with BB, SG and Butterworth (if he's ever fit) and Vale (if he's good enough) So we need proper wide men/wingers and a couple of goalscorers. I'd say we need 3 or 4 quality attackers. Big summer ahead. The caveat to all that is that with a better manager we may get a lot more out of some of those players. That's the biggest change that's needed. Nothing will change until Mowbray is replaced by someone better.
  13. He's not fit as admitted by Mowbray and he's played him 3 times in a week. I'm pretty angry about it to be fair.
  14. Yet the science/medical experts say different. It's that simple
  15. Fairly pointless contribution to a serious discussion about a players welfare.
  16. The darkest hour is just before dawn... Up The Rovers
  17. I agree. Common sense dictates 3 games in a week is too much for a guy who isn't fully fit and has been out for a year.
  18. An impact that might not have caused if it wasn't in such a stressed state. An ACL on the other knee is a known risk when returning from injury to the opposite ACL. Second ACL injuries six times more likely after reconstruction, study finds -- ScienceDaily
