  1. Sparks will be delighted. I think he was worried we'd lose him to a Prem club.
  2. Bayes said as much after the game. A cynic might say that Mowbray was more fed up after that loss because it was on Sky and his team were humbled in front of a lot more people than normal. The national media myth that he plays good football was exposed for what is is.
  3. Does Nixon know his way round Whalley Wine Shop?
  4. No, still can't accept that sorry.
  5. Nixon has never been right twice in a day.
  6. A couple of quick wins for the likes of Brum, Sheff W and Rotherham will leave everyone not currently in play off positions in a relegation battle.
  7. Tony's performance-based, which is why he should be sacked.
  8. Gallagher's a hard running forward, he'd have been perfect in th'owden days when you always had one striker run the channels for 90 minutes. He's better than he's given credit for and played in central areas he'll score goals. What Mowbray is asking him to do is lunacy. He might as well play Dack at left back.
  9. Just looked at the next 10 fixtures. I think we're about to enter an epic death spiral.
  10. Haha, that's a brilliant press conference. Pearson comes across as a fairly dreadful human being!
  11. Barry Bling - Tony, I hear it's just a question of ironing out the inconsistencies and we'll get promoted. Tony - Definitely. The lads need to be more consistent and then I will lead you to glory. Barry Bling - Next season then? Promotion? Tony - Absolutely Boss. This season is just another stop on the train journey to Premier League Central. Barry Bling - Excellent. Speak to you next year then. Tony - Of course. Bye. ***Line goes dead. Tony spins round in his chair**** Tony - Sorted fella's Venus and Waggott - Well done, Tony.
  12. I heard it totally differently. To me It was the tone of a man who thought 'how dare these plebs question me'. There were a few snotty answers. And this isn't the interview of a man under pressure or on the verge of quitting. It's not his fault, it never will be, it's injuries, inconsistencies blah blah blah Mowbray outlines the one thing holding Rovers back | Lancashire Telegraph “We have seven players injured, but that’s irrelevant really, the team is the team, they all know how we play and there’s no excuse when they don’t perform at the level that’s expected. So it's not Tony's (we) fault, it's the team (they).
  13. I think I got the reference, I just messed up my understanding.🙄 It was LA that proved too much for the man according to Gladys, I was thinking he was off to some team in Georgia (Atlanta?). I now realise he's probably off to LA. Unless I've got it wrong completely and he's off to Kilmarnock or somewhere😁 edit: just seen your post to Matty. This has all proved too much for me....
  14. I'd just want to point out that I only read this on here so if he stays it's not my fault!
  15. Probably true, but I did sense a bit more anger than normal. I think if fans had been in the ground last night Mogga may have got quite a bit of stick. Over to Venkys... I doubt they care enough to act.
  16. If the tactics were pilloried then the penny will drop eventually. I've seen quite a few posts on here, twitter, LT etc that start with 'I've been a big supporter of Mowbray until now but he has to go'. Unfortunately it doesn't matter what he fans think. Venkys will decide.
  17. 'You sound disappointed Tony' 'No, just cold' Astonishing attitude. He sounds like a petulant child who thinks he is above criticism for most of that interview. Show some respect for the club and its fans.
  18. Lots of balanced discussion to be had on here. But you're not really looking for it are you?
